Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Ondre

Center Director
Ondre attended California State University Fullerton, where he pursued his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. He plans to get his teaching credential and Master's degree to become a high school math teacher. Ondre has been a tutor since his sophomore year of high school and loves teaching because of the joy that comes with expanding a student's mind.

Robert

Center Director
Robert is a 2023 University of California, at Los Angeles graduate (Go Bruins!). He double majored in Applied Mathematics and Political Science. Math has always been one of Robert’s favorite subjects and he knows whatever career he ends up in, he’ll be doing a lot of math. Robert is excited to be back tutoring at Mathnasium as he loves helping kids better understand math and hopefully even enjoys doing math. In his free time, Robert enjoys hanging out with his friends and family, watching movies, and playing (and winning) board games.

Addison

Instructor
Addison is a junior at Capistrano Valley High School. She is a Scholar-Athlete that has participated in softball, soccer, and cross-country. She is a passionate, curious individual who has always sought to become more knowledgeable in all subjects, especially math. She has been a Girl Scout since she was 6 and has completed her bronze and silver awards, and is in pursuit of her gold award. Addison earned her silver award tutoring third graders that were struggling with math facts, both multiplication and division, during Covid. She loved tutoring kids and wishes to continue at Mathnasium.

Andre

Instructor
Andre is a second year at Saddleback College studying physics until transferring to UC Irvine. In highschool he was on the Academic Math Team while taking advanced math classes in addition to playing football and running track. In his free time he likes to spend time with family, eat, and play video games. He believes math is a building block in learning and helps build skills that are necessary to succeed in life.

Ayati

Instructor
Ayati is a junior at Tesoro High School, and math has been one of her favorite subjects since elementary school. Along with currently taking AP Calculus, she has taken multiple honors and AP classes in math and science throughout high school, and hopes to pursue a career in STEM. She received the Tesoro Torch of Excellence Award for Honors Algebra 2/Trigonometry, and has been tutoring her peers since a young age. In her free time, Ayati enjoys reading books and drawing.

Brent

Instructor
Brent Bernstein is currently a senior in high school and has had a deep passion for mathematics since he was 11. Brent enjoys tutoring students in various concepts in mathematics. Brent has been on the honor roll throughout middle school and has remained a part of the California Scholarship Federation throughout high school for achieving outstanding grades, and for completing extensive volunteer work. Some of Brent’s recent accomplishments are that he achieved his third-degree black belt in karate. He has been a very determined martial artist for 12 years and enjoys working hard physically and mentally. Some of his goals are to become a successful Aerospace Engineer and to continue volunteering for the betterment of the community. He believes that he would be a great instructor because he enjoys working with students of all ages, and helping them learn math in the way that they are the most receptive. He is also very patient and is willing to explain different concepts in the unique way that each student learns best.

Bryson

Instructor
Bryson is a junior currently attending JSerra Catholic High School. He recently completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics-Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego after transferring from Saddleback College. Bryson has loved math his whole life, which inspired him to take advanced math classes at Saddleback College at a young age. In his free time, Bryson enjoys listening to music, hanging out with his friends, and playing volleyball.

David

Instructor
David is currently a first-year at UC Irvine, studying Chemical Engineering. He recently graduated from JSerra Catholic High School and was a peer tutor through the National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation. David enjoys math and its applications, with his favorite course in high school being Physics. Outside of the classroom, David plays beach volleyball and loves listening to music. He is incredibly excited to be working at Mathnasium where he can share his love of learning with others.

Luke

Instructor
Luke is an incoming sophomore at Crean Lutheran High School. As a freshman, he completed Honors Pre-Calculus and is taking AP Calculus this upcoming year. He was the freshman class president of his school and is planning on majoring in Mathematics. His love for math was passed down from his Grandpa who got a full-ride scholarship to UCLA and Cal-Tech. Along with math Luke also is a three-sport athlete competing in Cross Country, Basketball, and Track and Field. He received Rookie of the Year in Cross Country and distance MVP on his track team. Luke is thrilled to be a tutor and help students feel assured in their math abilities.

Natalie

Instructor
Natalie, or Nat as she’s known by most, is currently a senior at Capistrano Valley High School. She plans to major in Statistics and hopes to direct her career toward psychology research. She built a strong foundation in math through schooling in Singapore before moving to the United States and has maintained a passion for the subject throughout her life. Throughout her high school career, Natalie has earned several awards and recognitions for her aptitude in Statistics, and American History, as well as an AP Scholar Award with Distinction. She enjoys challenging herself with AP courses, taking courses such as AP Calculus BC, AP Physics 1, AP Statistics, and many others. Apart from her academics, Natalie also plays tennis in her free time, and she has been captain of the tennis team for the last two years. Additionally, Natalie enjoys graphic design and spending time with her loved ones. Through tutoring, she hopes to make a lasting impact on people’s attitudes toward math.
