Rusi Hartana, Center Director
Rusi Hartana is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Ahwatukee. She has an MBA/MIM from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University. She is married and has two beautiful children. It is important to Rusi that she creates an environment where math makes sense for kids, and that environment is also a fun place to learn.
Hendrix Hartana, Center Owner and Instructor
Hendrix is the Center Owner at Mathnasium of Ahwatukee. In high school, he won many math competitions and participated in the International Mathematical Olympiad training. In SAT Math, he had an almost perfect score of 780. He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University on full International Student's Scholarship where he worked as a math tutor and helped many college students pulled their math class grades up to A's. Hendrix then continued with a master's degree in the same field and university where we worked as a teaching assistant and helped many students understand complex ideas in simple terms. He has 17+ years of IT experience and semiconductor factory automation startups in the United States and China. He enjoys helping children master new math concepts, and believes that children teach us just as much as we teach them.
Dominic Arps, Instructor
Dominic Arps is a junior at Mesa Communiy College, double majoring in Mathematics and Psychology. He loves to play a variety of sports, especially archery and volleball. In his spare time, he also loves to read and write fictional stories. To Dominic, being an instructor at Mathnasium does not feel like a job at all as he loves the atmosphere and mental challenge. He enjoys helping students understand his favorite subject: math!
Dominic Zygadlo, Instructor
Dominic Zygadlo is a sophomore at Arizona State University, pursuing a major in Statistics with a minor in Computer Science. He plans to work in the field of Data Science where he will have to analyze big data like Google does. Dominic received a score of 760 on SAT Math, a near-perfect score of 35 on the math section of ACT and a perfect score of 5 on the AP Calculus Exam. He loves eating pizza and thinks pizza is amazing. In his spare time, he loves to play soccer. With his patience and passion for math, Dominic is a huge asset to our team and a great fit with our students. He believes that there is no better satisfaction than helping someone finally understand a math concept.
Greg Babic, Instructor
Greg Babic is currently a senior at Desert Vista High School, and plans to attend The Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University in Fall 2017. Greg received a score of 750 on SAT Math, a 760 out of 800 on the SAT Math II Subject Test, and a near-perfect score of 35 on the math section of ACT. As a volunteer, Greg helped teach martial arts and music to children. In his spare time, Greg loves to play chess and practice Croatian with his family. He is actively involved in Marching Band. Greg has always excelled in math, and he is deeply committed to the success of the students at Mathnasium.
Ryan Alamdari, Instructor
Ryan is currently a sophomore at Arizona State University, majoring in Chemical Engineering. Ryan's hobbies include playing ping pong and Super Smash Bros. He holds the record for solving a 3-by-3 Rubik's cube in under a minute in our center! His sister also works at Mathnasium. He is also one of the popular math tutor at our centers, especially with the younger students. It is important to Ryan that he is helping future generation of kids to learn and pick up on math skills quickly.
