Nick was born in a small town in West Central Minnesota. He attended Drake University pursuing Health Sciences. Since graduation, Nick has worked with children for a variety of nonprofits. His hobbies include snowboarding, camping, archery, concerts, and spending time with his wife, their Coonhound, and their two Golden Retrievers.
Favorite Number: 11, my two current favorite basketball players, Brook Lopez and Trae Young are number 11.
Favorite Math Joke: What did the zero say to the eight? Nice belt!
I love Mathnasium because: Mathnasium gives students the ability to learn math in a way they truly understand it, which provides confidence in the students themselves!
Jennifer has a unique perspective that allows her to understand your kids and help them.
She is a successful business owner and homeschooling mom of 3! She has the perspective of an educator as well as a busy parent and knows the challenges of both. Jennifer knows how to engage the kids and hold their interest. She keeps them progressing in math in a way they will actually enjoy!
Jennifer has always had a strong grip on Mathematics, earning her B.B.A in Finance at Southwest Texas State University and then owning and operating a successful business for over 10 years in the Brazos Valley alongside her husband James.
After finding Mathnasium and seeing what it can offer kids, they made a tough decision to sell their successful business with its comfortable lifestyle and start all over again. As scary as that sounds, they knew that parents in the Brazos Valley wanted the best for their children at an affordable price. There was already so much available for the many college students in Bryan/College Station, but not for elementary, middle, and high school students. Now, after being open for several years and expanding to multiple locations, we have hundreds of amazing success stories as a result of our passionate instructors, inspiring learning environment, teaching style and curriculum at Mathnasium! Talia is a senior at Ankeny Centennial High School. She is a part of their marching band and color guard. Talia is also part of the golf team. In her free time she enjoys golfing, playing the flute, and spending time with her family.
Favorite number: 6 - because it’s a cool number.
Favorite math joke: Why doesn’t anybody talk to Circles? Because they have no point.
In five years, I will be: In college pursuing a career in occupational therapy.
I love Mathnasium because: I enjoy spreading my love of math with children.
Natalie was born and raised in St Louis, Missouri and moved to Iowa to pursue a degree in Mathematics. She's known that she'd enjoy working in math since her geometry teacher introduced her to her first proof. What appealed to her was not the proof itself, but the process; she likes the certainty of a theorem, axiom, or definition validating each step of a proof and the variety of ways to reach the same conclusion. Natalie is even more excited to be instructing children because she's loved being a part of children's development since she first started doing so in middle school. Another love of Natalie's is Mariner Girl Scouts. In her free time, Natalie plays board games with her boyfriend and his family, knits, talks with anyone willing, watches television shows that usually involve the building and maintaining of positive relationships, and reads a mythology or historical fiction to help her fall asleep. She's looking forward to getting to know you!

In five years, I will be: I plan to be a mother, working in something related to math, and continuing to volunteer as the Waterfront Director for Mariner Girl Scouts.
I love Mathnasium because: It combines my loves of math and working with children. I especially appreciate the Mathnasium Method "making math make sense".
David Reddingius Is attending Iowa State to complete his secondary education major in addition to his mathematics major. He loves to learn and teach others what he knows. He also has 3 cats!
Favorite number: 5, because it's the best number to pick when asked to pick a number from 1-10.
Favorite math joke: Why couldn't the angle get a loan... because its parents wouldn't cosine.
In five years, I will be: A middle school or high school math teacher.
I love Mathnasium because: It is an amazing environment to not only work but to learn which is amazing because it gives me experience in teaching and I learn something new that I can apply to teaching every day.
Riley is a junior at Drake University studying Secondary Special Education with a concentration in Developmental Psychology. He enjoys reading, music, and cooking for his friends and family. For fun, Riley plays Dungeons & Dragons and can often be found drinking a hot mocha. He loves wintertime and is an advocate for disability rights.
Favorite number: 96; IDK why, but it's satisfying.

In five years, I will be: A college graduate teaching exceptional learners back home in Minnesota.

Iris is a Senior at Ankeny Centennial High school. She is a new instructor at Mathnasium and in her free time enjoys baking and reading.
Favorite number: 17-It has always been my favorite!
Favorite math joke: If you’re cold, go to the corner of the room. It’s 90 degrees there!
In five years, I will be: Graduated with a major in Marketing at the University of Iowa.
I love Mathnasium because: It's a place where kids can come in and challenge themselves, learn math, build their confidence, and have fun!
Sophia is a student at North Polk High School and immerses herself in advanced classes in school. She has a strong passion for math because it can be used to solve problems and it pushes her to improve and learn more. In her free time, she enjoys reading, drawing, and playing video games.
Favorite number: 7, because in one of my classes as a kid, there was a poster of the divisibility rules from 1 to 10, all of which were relatively straightforward, with the exception of 7. It took me a while to figure out how to apply it, as I was quite young at the time and I was always reluctant to ask for help, but once I figured out how to do it, I had more appreciation for math and the effort put into it to understand concepts.
Favorite math joke: Calculus has a steep learning curve, but at least you know exactly how steep the learning curve is!
In five years, I will be: Going to college at Iowa State University to pursue some kind of degree involving math; I'm not entirely sure what quite yet.
I love Mathnasium because: I enjoy the feeling of understanding something after putting a lot of effort into it, and I want to help others have that satisfaction and become more confident and passionate towards math as a result.
