Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Aventura

Marcela Ortiz

Marcela is the Administrative and Marketing person at Mathnasium of Aventura, Florida. Marcela has a degree in Business Administration. Prior to opening the Mathnasium of Aventura, Marcela worked as Brand Manager of different brands in the wine industry in Chile and Argentina. She was in charge of the entire developmental process of these brands, from their creation until their introduction to different markets around the world. Marcela recently moved to Miami from Chile with Daniel (her husband) to start their own dream, to have their own company, and in Mathnasium they found the perfect combination of their passions: help the community's children and education. Marcela believes that a good education is the basis for life´s opportunities allowing students to achieve their maximum potential, and since Mathnasium provides a unique and fun way of learning Math, Marcela is certain that this is a perfect match, and she is willing to leave her previous accomplishments behind to devote her entire future on this goal.

Pamela Ibanez

Pamela has worked at Mathnasium of Aventura for the past six years and is currently the Center Director. While she has a strong passion for mathematics, her true calling lies in administrative work. Pamela plays a pivotal role within Mathnasium, tending to the needs of both new and existing parents while striving to understand the unique requirements of each child. Additionally, she leads instructor training sessions to ensure our team delivers exceptional education. Outside of Mathnasium, Pamela has been studying psychology for a year, deepening her understanding of human behavior and motivation.

Catherine Rodriguez

Catherine is a Junior in college, pursuing a degree in Mathematics. Before college, she was a member of Mu Alpha Theta, the math honor society, where she and others tutored students and helped coordinate certain events. She was also a school athlete that participated in both volleyball and badminton, winning volleyball district champions three years in a row as well as reaching Badminton GMAC finals for two consecutive years. Catherine is currently focused on school, but also makes time for Mathnasium, friends, and family. She has learned a lot working at Mathnasium and loves being able to help kids understand math.

Schadrack Cineas

Schadrack is a Sophomore attending Florida International University and is pursuing Computer Science to become a Software Engineer. He previously attended MAST@FIU and scored 740/800 on the math portion of his SAT. He was a member of UNICEF, Men of MAST, Debate Cub, and served as SGA Senior President. He enjoys sharing the knowledge he has learned over the years to help students succeed in their math courses.
