Pooja Chandawalla

Owner

My journey with Mathnasium really started with my son who has been going to Mathnasium for the past year and a half. His sense of joy and interest in Math has surely increased as time has gone by. I have a degree in Management from Kean University and Bhakti brings in years of experience in teaching with degrees in Education and Literature. Personally, I started my career as a Paralegal working in various law firms in New York and New Jersey, and recently ventured as a small business owner of an in-home care company. At Mathnasium, I am confident that with our excellent team of instructors led by the Center Director, we will continue to provide exceptional learning to the students the Mathnasium way!

Bhakti Shah

Center Director

Bhakti has worked with children most of her life, beginning as a kindergarten teacher with a major in Early Childhood Education, later serving as a High School English teacher in various schools. Following her passion and love for children, Bhakti earned her Master’s in English Literature from Mumbai University. She further skilled this craft and is naturally able to embrace the pivotal role of linking students, parents, and teachers. Her visionary perspective has currently bagged her opportunity as a Center Director at Mathnasium of Bridgewater. She strongly believes that “Together we can make a difference in children’s life.”

Arbaaz Asim

Assistant Center Director

Arbaaz is currently a senior at Rutgers University studying Business Analytics with a Minor in Mathematics. He has always had a love for math and wants to help students reach the “lightbulb moment” when a concept clicks. In his free time, Arbaaz likes to play video games with his friends, shoot hoops, and listen to music. With over 2 years of experience at Mathnasium and an Associates Degree in Business Administration, he is dedicated to helping students grow into their potential!

Joe Sagarese

Instructor

Joe graduated Penn State University with a degree in Computer Science. He had been a Senior Programmer for over 20 years for several financial institutions earning a Mathematics Minor with an emphasis in Applied Statistics along the way. Joe also owned his own software company for 14 years, recently selling it to semi-retire. Joe not only teaches the core fundamentals of mathematics but also teaches "tips" and "tricks" where these fundamentals can be applied. Joe demonstrates real world uses for the mathematics children learn so they can understand the value of what they are studying.

Our Mathnasium Mission
