Vanessa, Center Director
My name is Vanessa Lauenstein. I am the Center Director here at Mathnasium of Calabasas. I graduated from Cal State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Pure Mathematics. After many years of private tutoring and customer service, I found my passion for academia and business. My goal is to help students understand and evolve their math skills. The best feeling in the world is to help a student understand a math topic and watch their face light up as they work out a problem. New to Mathnasium, I am beyond excited to help families in our neighborhood to help their kids achieve the success we all know they’re capable of.
Aaron, Assistant Director
Aaron has received a degree in Mathematics from the California State University, Los Angeles. He has spent most of his working years in the education field working both in and outside of the classroom. Aaron joined Mathnasium in the year of 2015 as an Assistant Director where he learned, and fell in love with, the Mathnasium method of teaching. Through Mathnasium, he strives every day to help improve the lives of the many students that come through our doors. Along with teaching math, he vows to make sure every student has the confidence in themselves to achieve greatness. When Aaron is not teaching math, his hobbies include keeping up with the latest sports teams, playing video games, and doing escape rooms and other puzzle games.
Allan, Lead Instructor
Allan is a second year college student currently studying for a political science degree at Pierce Community College. He has been tutoring students in math for multiple years independently and has always enjoyed it. In his free time, he loves playing the bass guitar and being with family and friends. After his undergraduate degree, he hopes to pursue law school.
Meghan graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and a minor in Applied Math. She is currently working on completing her math credential so she can teach middle school or high school math. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, and hiking.
Justin is a sophomore at Calabasas High School who found his talent and passion for tutoring while he was in middle school. He was always helping his classmates and eventually found himself helping younger kids as well. Justin spends most of free time playing video games with his friends or practicing basketball since he’s on the team at Calabasas High. With a bright future ahead of him Justin hopes to continue being a part of the Mathnasium Team helping our students achieve their very best.
