Robin Slider

Robin purchased her forever home in Cape Coral in 2021 and began her journey with Mathnasium. she comes with 20+ years of experience running childcare centers in 3 states. She is a widow with 2 sons. She was a scout leader for 12 years and believes in helping children overcome their obstacles and be the best they can be!

Meet the team!

Joyce

Joyce attended Hofstra University in New York in 1974. She was an autism at home specialist for 15 years and recently retired from teaching math, science, and special education for 22 years in New York. After two months in Florida, however, she realized her love for teaching children had not retired. Her motto working in schools has always been, "whatever I can do to help!" She hopes to bring that attitude of giving and caring to every child she comes in contact with and feels that Mathnasium is a perfect fit to help her continue to pursue her passions.

Ocean

Hello, my name is Ocean. I am a student at FGCU. I enjoy figure skating and playing with my siblings. I belong to Mu Alpha Theta and enjoy tutoring other students. In the future, I would like to explore a future in the field of mathematics. I came to Mathnasium because I love math and enjoy working with students to help them learn math!

Aaron

My name is Aaron, I graduated from North Fort Myers High School and I am currently attending FGCU and I am going for a bachelor's in Computer Information Systems. Some of my hobbies include cooking, swimming, playing video games, and listening to music. I’m hopeful about helping students learn more about math and grow as individuals.

Steve & Sandy Massey

Hello. We are Steve and Sandy Massey, owners/operators of Mathnasium of Oviedo. Our relationship with Mathnasium began in 2012 when our son enrolled in Mathnasium to improve his Algebra skills. Our story may be similar to yours. After many evenings of ineffective homework help and frankly, lots of family stress, we went in search of math tutoring for our son. What we found was a math learning method that turned our son’s grades around in a few short months and profoundly spiked his overall confidence and interest in math. The Mathnasium method proved to be much more beneficial than one-on-one tutoring and improved our family life tremendously. We were so impressed with the Mathnasium model and the successful method of making math make sense that we open our first center in Oviedo in 2013. Today we love sharing the Mathnasium methods at four personally owned centers in Florida.

Amanda Gisel

Amanda has been a part of the Mathnasium family since 2014. She enjoys bringing math knowledge, understanding, and fun to the local community. Amanda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Central Florida and has years of experience working with schools, children, and education. Some of her favorite hobbies include watching TED Talks, traveling, and interacting with animals. Amanda loves working with children of all ages and watching the light bulb illuminate in their eyes when a concept "clicks" for them.

Juli Williams

Juli has been with Mathnasium since 2017, with 12 years of management experience and 10+ years of experience working with students. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Biology from Florida Atlantic University. She loves working with students of all ages, and often says she herself is a child at heart! Her hobbies include running, reading, and loving all things Disney.

Linda Roberts

Linda grew up in Huntington, WV, and is an avid fan of Marshall University football (Go Herd!). She earned her B.A. in Philosophy from West Virginia University and M.B.A. from Averett University. She comes to us after an 18-year career in higher education, where she has served as a Dean, Executive Director of Adult Programs, and Campus President. She is excited to serve the Oviedo community and see children learn math while developing confidence each day. She has a nurturing approach to leadership and believes that the sky is truly the limit for all of our Mathnasium family!

Cameron

Cameron is a student at UCF with a major in Biomedical Sciences. He loves to help the community and feels everyone deserves a solid education in STEM. He's excited to show all of our Mathletes that math can be and make sense!
