Our Team

Alison Newman, Owner & Director
Alison has enjoyed math since early grade school, which prompted her to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Washington University and a Masters of Accountancy degree from the University of South Florida. As a licensed CPA in Florida, Alison worked for 15 years in accounting and consulting, including 10 years in public accounting as a Senior Manager with Deloitte. She currently serves as the Treasurer and Head of the Finance Committee on the Board of Directors of The Children’s Home. Alison and her husband Peter have three children, ages 8, 7, and 5. They realized that opening a Mathnasium center would allow them to combine their love of children and math while providing a valuable service to the community. Their goal is to help children enjoy math and realize the potential that math skills can unlock.
