Our Team

Caitlin has been with Mathnasium for almost three years. She graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008. She has a degree in Mathematics and a second degree in Psychology. After graduation, Caitlin became the full time director of the Mathnasium of Brier Creek. Under her leadership, the center grew to over 100 students and saw great results on the EOGs. She was also instrumental in developing and running our highly successful High School EOC prep program. Geometry in particular is a passion of hers. For the past year, Caitlin has been the director of the Mathnasium of North Raleigh. That center also grew to nearly 100 families, and has become involved with the local public schools in that area. Caitlin looks forward to getting involved in the Cary community and meeting all of the Mathnasium students.

Veena has a Masters in Education and has taught pre-kindergarten and substituted in the Wake County System Schools for several years. If you call Mathnasium during the daytime, you are likely to be greeted by her. Many of you know Veena as the mother of Sonum and Neil, some of our longest standing Mathnasium students. If you have any questions or need assistance, she will be happy to oblige.

Brian attended North Carolina State University, and earned degrees in Physics, Philosophy, and Mathematics. He enjoys the satisfaction of teaching a student how to do math and watching their confidence grow with each correct answer. His animated personality works well with most students, parents, and coworkers, while building and promoting enthusiasm for not only mathematics, but general educational matters. His thoughtful, philosophical intellect is frequently reflected in his passion to find unique ways of presenting material, often times leading to a greater understanding of the hows and whys of each topic.

Jordan Penley is a senior at North Carolina State University. He is double majoring in Mathematics and Mathematics Education. He enjoys teaching children how to become intrinsically motivated and aiding students in transition from fearing mathematics to falling in love with it. He is now a Lead Instructor for our Mathnasium of Cary location and has proven to be a great asset to the company as well as to the children who have grown to love his teaching style and personality.
