Denise Caballero

Owner / Managing Director
Denise has owned and operated Mathnasiums in the triangle area for the last 16 years. She has her Master's degree in engineering from Cornell and an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Drexel. She spent her first 20 years practicing as an engineer for companies like Cisco and Bell Labs, and has several patent resulting from her engineering career. Recently, she had sold all of her center except for Cary Parks and she has decided to return to teaching because she really enjoys motivating students to achieve the best results they can.

Cameron Jones

Assistant Center Director
He is in his 3rd year of teaching at Mathnasium and his 4th year of teaching math. Mr. Cameron is a Math Major who graduated from High Point University.

Mr. Josh

Instructor
Mr. Josh received his BS in Physics from NC State where he researched nuclear and particle physics at both CERN (Switzerland) and Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Virginia). He then went on to get his PhD in Physics from UNC Chapel Hill. Josh worked as a data scientist for about 3 years and also taught Math 3 at Millbrook Magnet HS (his Alma Mater). Mr. Josh loves the puzzles that Math presents and enjoys working with students to help them connect all of the separate ideas back into one big picture.

Mr. Matt

Instructor
Mr. Matt graduated from NC State in 2016 with his BS in Civil Engineering. Matt started out working for the NC DoT as a project manager for 3 years. He joined the Mathnasium team in February 2022 so he will be coming up on 2 years with us. He became a tutor because he loves math and enjoys sharing that love for math with students. Outside of the center Mr. Matt enjoys hiking and healthy food!

Mr. Arjun

Instructor
Mr. Arjun is in his Senior year at Enloe HS currently taking Calculus 3 and Differential Equations through his local university. Next year he hopes to study Computer Science and Engineering at Duke University. His favorite meal is a burrito, favorite song is Raid by MF Doom, favorite music producer is BNYX, and his favorite sport is football and he supports the Denver Broncos. In his free time Mr. Arjun enjoys producing music and working out. He joined Mathnasium because he enjoys teaching and wanted to share his knowledge with the youth in his community. When his students progress in their math skills Mr. Arjun feels gratified to be a part of their educational journey.

Mr. Jad

Instructor
Mr. Jad is in his Senior year at Green Level HS and is currently taking AP Statistics. He hopes to attend either Duke or UNC as a Biology major with Pre-Med intent. Mr. Jad is a fan of the Boston Celtics, FC Barcelona, and Duke Basketball. He loves to get Chipotle with his friends and family as well as play basketball, listen to music, play video games, and watch movies. Mr. Jad emphasizes he loves working at Mathnasium because "the tutoring environment is like no other. Getting to see all the kids every week and watching them advance Mathematically bit by bit while directly engaging with them is what makes Mathnasium great. Not to mention the game breaks and "Around the World" make learning math at Mathnasium even more fun!"

Miss Jananee

Instructor
Miss Jananee is in her Junior year at Green Level HS and is currently taking AP Calculus AB and will be taking AP Calculus BC in the spring. She hopes to attend either NC State or UNC and major in Biomedical Technology or Political Science. Outside of tutoring Miss Jananee loves to dance, sing, and cook! She joined Mathnasium hoping to impact the lives of younger students while also learning valuable lessons from them!

Miss Saranya

Instructor
Miss Saranya is a Junior at Raleigh Charter HS taking Calculus BC. She hopes to attend Duke or UNC to study public health or psychology. She loves painting and hanging with dogs and cats. Outside of tutoring she enjoys hiking, dancing, and cooking new foods! She loves tutoring at Mathnasium because she gets to know different people and make friends along the way.

Miss Bhavana

Instructor
Miss Bhavana is a Junior at Green Level HS currently taking AP Calculus AB and will be taking AP Calculus BC in the spring. She plans to major in engineering at either NC State or Georgia Tech. She loves animals (dogs and cats), crocheting, and coding. She loves to help people learn more about topics they didn't previously understand as well as show them how math can apply to various aspects of life.

Miss Riya

Instructor
Miss Riya is a Junior at Green Level HS taking AP Statistics. She plans to major in engineering at either NC State or Georgia Tech. Outside of Mathnasium Miss Riya plays tennis for her high school team and enjoys reading and watching movies with friends. Miss Riya loves helping a student understand a concept that they didn't really understand before through new tactics or techniques.

Miss Smarana

Instructor
Miss Smarana is a Junior at Green Level HS and is taking AP Calculus AB currently. She hopes to attend UNC and major in Biochemistry. Her favorite things include volunteering, meeting new people, spending time with family, dance, piano, going on walks and french fries. She joined Mathnasium hoping to gain real world job experience that was conducive to her academic career. She loves meeting new kids and discovering new ways to share math concepts.

Mr. Ryan

Instructor
Mr. Ryan is a Sophomore at Raleigh Charter HS and is currently taking AP Calc BC. He would like to go to Duke to study Mechanical Engineering and work in the field of applied Math/Science. Outside of Mathnasium Mr. Ryan enjoys spending time with friends playing soccer or gaming online. He loves watching the kids grow and get smarter each and every time they come into the center.

Mr. Nathan

Instructor
Mr. Nathan is a Freshman at Raleigh Charter HS but don't let his young age fool you! He is currently in Honors Pre-Calculus with a plan to take AP Calculus AB and BC as well as AP Statistics in the coming years. He hopes to study Biomedical Engineering at MIT or Cal-Tech. Outside of tutoring Mr. Nathan plays soccer for his highschool team and plays the trumpet. He joined Mathnasium because he believes that teaching math is more beneficial than learning it from a lecture, he emphasizes that his time spent at Mathnasium helps him as much as it helps the students. He loves watching students solve questions in different ways, helping him to understand that other approaches people can take to certain topics.
