Julien

Assistant Director
Julien was born in Bellflower and lived in Lakewood. Growing up, Julien loved to play soccer and learn math. He graduated from Mayfair High School and is currently attending Long Beach City College in route transferring to a 4 year university. Julien loves working at Mathnasium and takes great pride in watching the students expand their math knowledge. For fun, Julien likes to watch the Raiders, FC Barcelona and the Lakers. He enjoys working out in the gym, waking his dog and hanging out with friends and family.

Matthew

Assistant Director
Matthew grew up in Bellflower and graduated from Cerritos High School. He is a second year at Cal Poly Pomona majoring in computer science. He enjoys helping kids and has tutored for multiple years. In his free time he enjoys playing guitar, playing table tennis, and hanging out with friends.

Analiese

Lead Instructor
Analiese is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science and is looking to transfer to a UC in the near future. She grew up in LA county for most of her life and has great memories of going to Amoeba Records and hiking in Griffith Park. She has traveled to Japan, Cuba, and Mexico, and even has plans of studying abroad in Japan in the future. Her goal post graduation is to work as an AI developer for Tesla! In Analiese's free time, she enjoy tufting, going to concerts, and playing with her cat.

Abdul

Senior Instructor
Abdul grew up in Artesia and graduated from Richard Gahr High School. He currently attends California State University, Long Beach where he is earning his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Math has been his favorite subject since elementary school and he loves teaching it. In his free time, he enjoys binge-watching TV shows and cooking great food.

Nairrit

Instructor
Nairrit is currently a senior at Gretchen Whitney High School and seeks to pursue a major in Chemical Engineering post graduation. He has experience informally tutoring his classmates and juniors in chemistry and teaching programming in the context of robotics as a volunteer. However, Nairrit is especially excited to teach math at Mathnasium since math was what first sparked his lasting interest in STEM. During his spare time, Nairrit enjoys playing Chess, competing in FIRST robotics, and spending time with his friends and family

Nitin

Instructor
Nitin has been a Math enthusiast all his life and loves teaching math to students. He believes that a conceptual understanding of math leads to more confidence in several other subjects. He is currently a high school senior and plans to pursue Data Science and Statistics at University. In his free time, he enjoys solving the Rubik's cube. He attends speed-cubing competitions in and around SoCal and recently returned from the Rubik's World Championship held in South Korea.

Thomas

Instructor
Thomas is extremely passionate about math and is currently pursuing a degree in Engineering. He enjoys working with students with unique personalities, as he seeks to engage them in an individualized fashion. When Thomas is not instructing Mathnasium students, he is likely watching football, specifically his favorite team, the Pittsburg Steelers.

Stephanie

Instructor
Stephanie grew up in La Mirada and graduated from La Mirada High School. She currently attends the University of Southern California (USC) where she is earning a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. She has experience with tutoring in mathematics and English, ranging from elementary to high school students. In her free time she enjoys making origami, drawing, and hanging out with friends!

Ky

Instructor
Ky was born in Bellflower and currently lives in Cerritos. After graduating from Our Lady of Fatima and Whitney High School, Ky now attends California State University Fullerton to study Theatre. Ky hopes to bring the best Math learning practices into their future classroom, and loves guiding students to the "lightbulb moment" when a student gains new understanding. Outside of work, Ky puts on plays and musicals, conducts Performing Arts research, voice acts, and plays mobile video games as well as Dungeons and Dragons.

Yasser

Instructor
Yasser recently received his Bachelor's Degree in Applied Math from the University of Santa Barbara. He has worked as a math instructor at Mathnasium for multiple years and has confidence teaching all levels he is presented with. When Yasser is not working with students at Mathnasium, he enjoys bike riding, basketball, and snorkeling.
