Our Team

Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! Read below to learn more about our talented team:

Yatin, Center Director

Yatin was born in Artesia, CA and grew up in Cerritos. He went to Cerritos High School and graduated with High Honors. From there, Yatin attended the University of California, Irvine, and graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry. Math has always been one of his favorite subjects, and he still enjoy it to this day. That is why Yatin loves helping students in math and seeing them become more enthusiastic about the subject.  Yatin has been with Mathnasium of Cerritos since September 2013 and has come to love the Mathnasium Method. He has seen how it helps to describe mathematical concepts to students in a way that makes sense to them. 


Josh, Assistant Director

Josh is currently attending Vanguard University in Costa Mesa. He has a passion for math, and loves sharing that passion with the students at Mathnasium. He is proud to be an eagle scout, and he enjoys watching movies, going to the beach, and exploring Orange County with friends.





Stacy, Assistant Director

Stacy graduated from Cerritos High School and received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University, Long Beach. She is also currently attending CSULB for her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Stacy is a retired synchronized team skater and she enjoys traveling to new places. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially with her young nieces. She hopes to teach elementary school in the ABC Unified School district in the near future. 


Kathryn, Lead Instructor 

Kathryn recently graduated from Biola University with a degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education. She hopes to teach in some capacity in the future, but right now, she is content working at Mathnasium. She has tutored many people, including family and friends throughout her own academic career. She has a love for math and an even greater love for working with kids. In her free time, she likes to read, look up new recipes, and cook!


 Allisun, Instructor

Allisun is from Big Bear, California.  In high school, she began tutoring her peers in subjects like Algebra 2.  Through that experience, she found that she really loves helping others succeed in math.  She currently attends Biola University as an Applied Mathematics Major.  When she is not studying, she enjoys visiting her family or taking spontaneous road trips with friends. Allisun plans to teach math in the future.   

 Anh, Instructor

Anh graduated from University of California, Riverside with a bachelor in Chemistry. She currently pursues her interest and career in Computer Science. She enjoys working with kids and has participated in several summer camps teaching kids from math to team building skills. On weekends, she enjoys walking on the beach with her grandma, bouldering, and volunteering at local communities & organizations.

Anisha, Instructor

Anisha was born in Downey and grew up in Cerritos. After attending Cerritos High School, she went on to University of California, San Diego and graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry, and Psychology minor. She enjoys teaching math and loves helping students approach it with confidence. She loves reading, going to baseball games (go Dodgers!), doing crafts/DIY projects, and traveling. 


Bianca, Instructor 

Bianca is from Paramount, CA and attended Paramount High School. She recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. On her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, and exploring new places. She very much enjoys teaching and being around kids. Bianca does her best to motivate the youth in exploring the endless opportunities of college.

Teddy, Management Trainee

Teddy inherited a love of math at a young age from his mom, a 5th grade math and science teacher in his hometown of Ventura, CA.  He received his B.S. in Exercise Physiology and earned NCAA All-American honors as a track and field Decathlete from California State University, Chico.  His passion for education and mentoring bloomed during his years as a graduate student and coach at Minnesota State University, Mankato.  His rewarding experiences, first as an athlete and then as a coach, have taught him how to build a team that fosters belonging and a positive learning environment.  His greatest joy comes from helping people believe in themselves and realize their potential.
