Mathnasium's National TriMathlon Day

TriMathlon

Competition is an important cultural value, one we celebrate in spades. From the first grade spelling bee to the science fair to mock trials, children have no shortage of fun, competitive ways to practice and show off their academic talents. For the most part, however, math is conspicuously missing from the list. This is where we, Mathnasium, with local centers in Chatham and Summit --and more than 200 others across the US-- step up to the plate by providing a competitive venue for math-lovers and skeptics alike called "National TriMathlon Day".

Mathnasium's First Annual National TriMathlon Day was held on Saturday, May 14th, 2011 at our center in Downtown Summit, as well as at many other Mathnasium centers across the US. We had a good turn out for the first of what promises to be an excellent annual event to promote "numeracy" and excellence in mathematics for youngsters across America.

As we are looking now for sponsors for next year's event, please contact James or Jodi Ralston at 973-377-6284 if you/your company are interested in helping to support or promote this excellent event throughout Morris, Union and Essex counties here in New Jersey.

ABOUT MATHNASIUM'S TRIMATHLON: Intended as a fun-filled competition to help elementary school kids engage with mathematics, students in Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 will compete in three challenging math events (The Counting Game, Magic Squares, and Mental Math Workout).
