Our Team

Peter earned a Bachelors degree from California State University, Fresno and has a Single Subject CLAD teaching credential from National University. He has taught at Duncan Polytechnical High School and Cooper Middle School. Along with classroom experience, Peter has had many years of experience working with children coaching basketball and other sports at the elementary and middle school levels. Prior to teaching, Peter was in the restaurant business where he operated both as an owner of his own business and in upper level management for two different national chains. When Peter learned of Mathnasium and began to research the business, he immediately realized that this would be a perfect fit for him with the ability to mix both his educational and business experiences.

Dorianne earned a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Fresno. In the past she has worked tutoring students in math and language arts. She currently works as an intervention teacher and substitute and has been with Mathnasium for the past two years. Working at Mathnasium combines her love of math and interest in education.

At 24, Eric thought he would be tired of schoolwork and classrooms, but it turns out to be the setting he enjoys. He has been working as an instructor at Mathnasium for over two years now. Since graduating from CSU Fresno with a degree in mathematics, he has enrolled in the credential program and is currently student teaching. Eventually he wants to teach math at the high school level. In his free time he volunteers as a youth leader at Northside Church, collects music, and enjoys playing board games with friends.

Alyssa was born and raised in Fresno. She attended Buchanan High School where she graduated with honors in 2005. She then moved to Southern California to attend college at the University of California, Irvine. She graduated from UCI in 2009 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. She is currently looking into graduate school and would like to pursue a career in the medical field.

Cassandra was born and raised in the Fresno/Clovis area. She attended Clovis Unified through high school. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from CSU Fresno. She loves math and wants to help others love it too.

Matt has worked at Mathnasium since November of 2007. Born and raised in Fresno, Matt graduated from hoover High School in May of 2003. He attended Willow International Center before transferring to CSU Fresno where he earned an A.S. in Mathematics. More recently, he has completed all the coursework to obtain a single subject credential in Mathematics. Matt is currently seeking employment as a secondary school teacher.

Riza attended Clovis West High School and graduated in 2007. She continued her education at University of California, San Diego, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry in 2011. Right now she is taking some time off before applying to pharmacy school. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm about math with the students!
