Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Coral Springs

Mae

Mae started with Mathnasium as an instructor in 2020 while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University. Since she was a teenager, Mae had been interested in the education system, and more specifically, how math is taught in schools, as it is so reliant on a strong foundation. Since starting at Mathnasium, Mae’s goal has been to create a fun and judgement-free learning environment where students can practice their skills, and learn how to have fun with math! Mathnasium has been the perfect space for her to continue her passion of beating the negative stigma surrounding math, one student at a time!

Sajeev

Sajeev graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Nova Southeastern University. Sajeev first started out as a student at Mathnasium. He then became an instructor, and was later promoted to lead instructor. Sajeev has a passion for helping students learn and helping them overcome difficulties. He has a unique experience to share with the students, and it helps him connect on a deeper level. Sajeev enjoys seeing Mathnasium help students in the same way he was helped.

Darren

Darren has a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University and has become a Certified Teacher for 5th-9th Grade Mathematics. After five years as a restaurant manager, Darren's management and business experience, coupled with his math and education background, brings a lot to our Mathnasium team. Before becoming our Area Manager, Darren was a Center Manager for 2 locations in South Florida, working with over 300 students and their families. Darren's wife is a Speech-Language Pathologist and former Special Education Support Facilitator for Broward County Schools. His father was a retired elementary school principal and his mother is a Pre-K teacher. Being that he comes from a family of educators, Darren has always had a passion for helping students learn math in a way that makes sense to them!
