Ram Jawadi, Center Director
Ram is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Daly City. Prior to opening his Mathnasium center, Ram worked as a Software Engineering Manager and Architect with IBM Corporation, specializing in Software Architecture , Technology innovation and Project management. He has a Ph.D from University of Florida. Having struggled with math as a child, Ram is enthusiastic about helping every child in the Daly City community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. He has taught and tutored children of all ages, and he is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community. Married with two daughters, Ram also helps at the local school.
Carina is pursuing her Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics major and Computer Science minor at San Francisco State University. She is passionate about teaching Math to young students in a way that makes sense to them. She has naturally pleasing personality and wants to show kids that Math is an amazing subject and fun to learn too!
Byung is currently pursuing Bachelors degree at Skyline College, San Bruno. He is passionate about Math and had plenty of experience teaching Math to kids of different grades. He naturally embraced Mathnasium Method and became integral part of the Center. Besides his academic pursuits, Byung is also a great singer. He sings as part of the Skuline Concert Choir. He is also a long time Saxophone player.
Makayla, Lead Instructor
Makayla is currently attending Oceana High and has a perfect GPA of 4.0. Prior to working at Mathnasium, she has volunteered at Summer camps, and worked with children of all ages. Being part of the local school system she accurately understands current Math curriculum and teaching methodologies. She has tutored her younger brothers routinely and quickly connects to children to explain Math concepts in a way they can easily understand.
Monina is currently a senior at the University of California, Berkeley studying Applied Mathematics with Concentration in Economics. In 2015, Monina received her Associate's Degree in Business Adsministration. She is a CRLA Level II Certified tutor, and for the past 4 years, she has worked as a Mathematics tutor at Skyline College's Learning Center. As a hobby, Monina regularly volunteers in her community and at the hospital.
Jiayi is attending Oceana High School. He currently has a GPA above 4.0. He has helped several kids with Math and values the experience of teaching Math. He always loved to share his Math expertise with others. He helped many of his classmates with challenging math problems. He is patient and pleasant to work with.
Kristi is graduating from Oceana with GPA of 4.5 and accepted admission to University of California, Irvine. Prior to working at Mathnasium, she has worked as a day camp counselor for 3 summers. She also worked as a co-teacher for fifth graders and taught them Math and Science. She loves being in an environment with kids and will continue to pursue her desire to teach in college.
Camille is currently attending Westmoor High and is taking an Advanced Mathematics course. Prior to working at Mathnasium, she has regularly volunteered at local library to tutor children of all levels. She loves to work with children, she has refereed child soccer games and fun crafting activities. On her free time, she enjoys playing instruments and listening to music.
