Our Team

Terry Liu, Owner and Center Director
Terry Liu started his career in private math tutoring since 1994 in his junior year in Diamond Bar High School. Since then, he has received great joy in helping each and every student understand the importance & fun of learning. After obtaining an Accounting degree at USC in 2000, he worked as the director of an after-school program for three years, and spent six years at a real estate & mortgage company as an operations manager.

Terry has always had a great passion for teaching and in his tenure as a tutor; he has found that parents and students desperately need help to stay on top of the current education system. After extensive research, Terry found the perfect solution in Mathnasium. Their customized curriculum is designed to promote individual learning in a group environment. Terry feels strongly that it is very important for each student to learn at his or her own pace, and to work on filling in the gaps of their math knowledge. Terry is happy to be offering Mathnasium in Diamond Bar and is excited to help local students improve their ‘number sense’ and develop a love for math, rather than apprehension.
