At Mathnasium of Boca Raton, children in grades 2-12 (through Calculus and SAT/ACT math prep) find success by beginning at the right starting point (determined through diagnostic testing) and building their math sense, and thus self-esteem, through a unique combination of mental, visual, tactile and written techniques.  Through personalized Mathnasium workouts, we inspire and stimulate students to grow and flourish by first identifying and addressing the root of the problem, and then teaching from the foundation on up with mastery of concepts (rather than calisthenics drills or memorization), and filling in essential gaps before advancing. It is the result of a process of encounter and interaction with a specific set of concepts and skills presented in a way that makes sense to the learner. Our curriculum helps to explain how the order makes sense…for example, multiplication mastery is based on reasoning in groups.  Each operation is to be mastered before moving on to the next concept.

Just like at a gym or health club, students are able to workout at MATHNASIUM at their convenience as often as they need to do so to meet with instructors who are always available to advance their math sense with MATHNASIUM curriculum, work through their current homework, or prep for a test.  You or your child never have to make an appointment; you are never restricted to a traditional single-tutor hourly model that limits you to pre-set times based on only one instructor’s availability. 

Mathnasium of Boca Raton was founded by Managing Director Marsha Rimokh, after learning that the largest US technology companies were lobbying Congress to lower visa restrictions for high level workers from outside the country rather than using their influence to raise the level of math and science education here at home, she decided to do something to encourage development of our own highly skilled workforce.  In addition to owning and managing MATHNASIUM of Boca Raton, she is a successful respected business executive who also founded, and leads Aquarius International, an industry leading full-service conference management company specializing in multiple types of domestic and international corporate events and meetings.

Sharing Marsha’s commitment to the continuing improvement of the quality of math education is Center Director, Julie Sandler who comes with a masters degree in education.  Along with dozens of highly-trained and skilled instructors, they help make math make sense.  Based on its growing demand and track record of success, Mathnasium of Boca Raton will soon be expanding with additional locations in West Boca Raton and Weston.
