Leah Jackman, Director Cary
Leah graduated with honors from Hollins University in May 2008. She majored in Mathematics with a minor in Studio Art. Leah began tutoring her freshmen year in college and has continued tutoring with numerous agencies since graduation. She has experience tutoring a broad range of age groups, from elementary school through the college level. Her experience as an analyst in the insurance industry provides her with a framework for communicating to her students the relevance of math in the real world. As a result of her love of both math and tutoring, Leah decided to leave the insurance industry to pursue a career in education. She is currently enrolled in a Master's program in Secondary Math Education through the University of Maryland University College. Leah loves helping kids understand the importance (and joy!) of mathematics.
