Marc Thorner, Director
Marc has a Masters’ degree in Special Education from C.W. Post College on Long Island. Marc brings 15 years of teaching experience to Mathnasium. Marc also teaches at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland,FL. His classes include Intensive/Basic Math for Special Education students, and Algebra for Regular Education students. His teaching skills and devotion to students has contributed to his schools’ “A” ranking, and has been noted in Newsweek magazine as being in the top 2% of schools in the country. Marc has tutored students for standardized tests, adults in the community, preparing them for teacher certification, police officer, dental, pharmaceutical, and college exit exams. Marc strongly believes that the Mathnasium program builds math skills, increases confidence, achieves results, and creates a positive attitude towards mathematics.
