Andrea Ratkowski, Director
As a resident and parent of two school-age children, Andrea was inspired to open and operate a Mathnasium Math Learning Center because she knows firsthand that after-school math instruction can make a world of difference, to children and parents.

Andrea received her B.A. in American Studies from Yale University, where she took advanced math classes. She then worked with numbers on a daily basis during a 20-year career as a stockbroker and executive for a local stockbrokerage firm. Andrea has taught practical math applications such as margin requirements, fixed income formulas and income taxes to adults, and has tutored 2^nd and 3^rd graders.

Andrea’s favorite uncle taught her that math could be fun, and that it applies to almost anything in the world – from construction to golf. Now Andrea teaches her Mathnasium students the same lesson: every child can obtain real math understanding, and use it to succeed in everything from work to hobbies!
