Sharon D. Pursley, Director
Sharon earned an Associate of Arts Degree in English Communication from Tyler Jr. College, Tyler, Texas, and studied Secondary Education with an emphasis in English and Political Science at the University of Texas at Tyler. She received a Certificate in Paralegal Studies and has worked as a paralegal in various areas of law for 15 years. More recently, Sharon has been an executive administrator for Financial Advisors and Retirement Planners.
As a home-schooling Mom, Sharon is committed to the education of her children and all children in her community. She wants children to be confident in their abilities, to accomplish what they set their minds to, and for their lives to be happier and easier. Sharon wants to "make a deposit into a kid's life that the kid will draw on for the rest of their life."
Sharon believes that when children learn to solve problems during their Mathnasium experience, they will become more confident and look forward to solving the challenges of day to day life. Mathnasium is the vehicle by which all of those desires can be accomplished.
