Tommy Pascoe, Center Director
Tommy graduated from University of West Georgia in the year 2000 with a BBA in Finance. He has worked in corporate finance in the telecommunication industry since 2000 as a senior financial analyst. His employment portfolio includes companies such as Verizon, Orkin, and Telwares Consulting. In the last year he worked as a Vice Principal and taught middle and high school math for a private school in Cobb County.
Tommy has volunteered for 15 years in various children’s ministries. He has volunteered as a mentor for the Advocates of Bartow County and has led various children’s programs for other non profit organizations. He works in these programs because he believes that impacting children's lives is essential to a society with meaning and purpose. He believes that for children and adults alike, getting an education is the passport to a better life; for them, and their country.
Tommy believes the Mathnasium method of teaching "number sense" is essential to a student’s math education and will instill the love of math in the children that exercise these skills. Using the method to bring light and understanding to a difficult subject will open limitless doors to the future of our children.
Angel Pascoe, Center Director
Angel has worked as an office manager / paralegal for 11 years in a Real Estate Law Firm. She has worked with several agents and lenders to finalize closing arrangements on commercial and residential transactions. She loves math and loves to work with children. She has volunteered her time with children for over 15 years and believes that encouraging them and helping them believe in themselves builds the confidence they need in the future to succeed.
Mathnasium allows Angel to fulfill her gifts of encouraging children and loving math. It allows her to teach children the skills to love math and not be intimidated by numbers. Once they have built up confidence in their math skills, they are able to do anything.
Our goal is to introduce the Mathnasium method to the students and parents of Acworth/ Kennesaw and watch them grow and succeed in confidence.
