Peter Brunette, Center Director
Mathnasium Master Certified
As a child growing up in south Minneapolis, Peter always enjoyed doing and teaching math.
He attended Hamilton College in upstate New York where he graduated with honors, earning
a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Following his graduation Peter joined Teach for America
and taught high school science in South Central Los Angeles. During his experience teaching
in the Los Angeles public school system, Peter realized that he wanted to move to an alternative
education setting where he could better serve each child’s individual needs. Peter joined the
Mathnasium team after returning to the Twin Cities.
Peter believes that everyone is capable of learning math at any level, and he aspires to cure the world of its math phobia one student at a time.
