Mila Shainsky, Director
Throughout her life Mila has pursued and accomplished academic excellence. Mila graduated valedictorian of her very competitive school in former USSR. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Multi-Technological Disciplines as well as her teaching credentials, all while raising twin boys. Upon the completion of her education Mila taught graduate engineering courses for 5 years. After migrating to the United States, Mila worked as a software engineer for almost two decades. At the pinnacle of her professional career, she decided to get back to her prime passion in life; teaching and inspiring others. After evaluating other math-learning franchises, Mila decided to open a Mathnasium because its curriculum is geared towards developing math sense, confidence, and delivering results, all while providing a fun learning atmosphere. On her free time, Mila enjoys cooking, sewing, reading, and solving logic problems.
Yanni Shainsky, Center Manager
Yanni has a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies from Boston University. For the last decade Yanni has worked as an IT Systems Analyst for a large defense contractor. Yanni could not pass up an opportunity to co-open a math learning center with his mom, to share his zeal for the beauty and simplicity of math, education, and entrepreneurial prospect. Yanni is a master-level chess player, who enjoys reading, as well as playing various sports such as volleyball, basketball and soccer.
