Get Started with Mathnasium Math Tutorting

Our Team

Mark Minson, Center Director
Mark graduated with a BS degree in computer science from Brigham Young University and has worked as a developer and IT professional for the past 15 years. One of the best things about his education was discovering that math can be fun. After years of tutoring local children in math and being told that teaching was his true calling, Mark decided to pursue Mathnasium.

Mark loves math and delights in seeing the light that goes on when a new concept is understood. He is really excited to bring the Mathnasium method to Utah and his community. The prospect of teaching kids to really like doing math, just as many really like reading, is very exciting. His first clients were, of course, his 15 and 12 year-old daughters.

An avid reader and woodworker, Mark also love to snow and water ski. He loves to spend time with his family, skiing in the winter and hiking & camping in the summer in the wonderful mountains of northern Utah.
Alexis Farrer, Instructor
Lexi has been with Mathnasium of Draper for just over two years now. She is so good with our students; patient, yet firm and loves to teach math. Lexi is probably the favorite with all of the younger kids even. She is currently finishing her biomedical engineering degree at the University of Utah, and when she has graduated we want her to stay at Mathnasium. Good luck with that, she says.
Doreen Seibert, Instructor
Doreen is a part time instructor at a local private high school as well as here at Mathnasium. She is originally from Greece and visits her family there frequently. Her last son in getting ready to graduate from high school and she is preparing to be an empty-nester. Doreen loves math and loves to teach. Such a great combination!
Katelyn Bytheway, Instructor
Katelyn just finished her freshman year at BYU. She took AP Calculus her as a junior in high school and received a 5 on the AP test. She is a true bright spot on the Mathnasium staff and really makes learning math fun. Katelyn is loved by all of our students, especially the teen-age boys. Beauty and brains makes a very attractive package.
Tim Romney, Instructor
Tim is currently a student at the University of utah, studying Mechanical Engineering. He grew up in Sandy and graduated from Alta High School. He likes music, camping and learning. Tim also speaks fluent Spanish. He has fun teaching kids and loves when they begin to understand something new.
Andrea Davis, Instructor
A student at the University of Utah, Andrea is also in the Bio-Medical Engineering program. A native of Draper, Andrea knows teachers at most of the local schools and helps kids navigate the treacherous waters of math education.
Chris Dillon, Instructor
Enrolled in the PhD program at University of Utah for Bio-Medical Engineering, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and extreme patience to our team.
Stephanie Kirby, Instructor
Stephanie has a degree in Math Education from Brigham Young University. And Mathnasium is certainly the place where she can put the skills she learned to the test.
Chase Noel, Instructor
Chase is a freshman at the University of Utah. He is working on an engineering degree and will soon be leaving us to serve an LDS mission in Mexico City, Mexico.
Tyler Headlee, Instructor
After seeing the results of Mathnasium's instruction on his two younger siblings, Tyler decided to join us and see what all the fuss was about. Now an integral part of the team he has a full working knowledge of what makes Mathnasium's instruction and instructors so great.
