Freya Mao, Center Director & Owner
Freya is the Center Director & Owner at Mathnasium of Eastvale. Prior to opening her Mathnasium center, Freya has over 15 years’ experience in the internet industry, specializing in data analysis, technical operation, and programming. She also has strong interesting in big data and machine learning. She has a Bachelor Degree in aerodynamics, her team got the first prize in the Mathematical Contest in Modeling.
Freya has loved math since she was young. As a mother of three, she started to think about how to teach them math. Then she discovered Mathnasium Method is just the way to lead the child to encounter math that makes sense to them, whether the child is struggling or advanced.Now Freya is passionate about bringing the Mathnasium Method to the Eastvale to help students excel at math, bring up their confidence and LOVE math. She believes it is a rewarding thing to help children develop their math skills and watch them succeed in math.
Outside of her work, Freya enjoys music, cooking and traveling with her family.
Arlene Resendiz, Assistant Center Director
Arlene received her bachelor degree in Business Economics from UC Irvine in 2015. Since graduation, she has been a private tutor to adolescents and adults in desperate need of math help. She has also been a substitute teacher for the Chaffey Joint Union High School District since early 2017, primarily for math classes. Now as Assistant Center Director, Arlene look forward to seeing our students excel through the Mathnasium curriculum and meeting all their wonderful parents. During her free time, I enjoy going to the gym, traveling the world, and spending time with family and friends.
Paul Carmona, Instructor
Paul graduated from Etiwanda High school in 2012 and is a recent graduate from University of California, Riverside with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He plans to use this degree to pursue a career in teaching math to high school students and to encourage students to not see math as confusing but to understand it in an easier way. He believes it is important to lead students in the right direction by being a positive influence and by setting an example of what it means to be a hard worker in order to reach your goals, not just in schoolwork but in life.
Johnathan Vuong, Instructor
Johnathan graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics major and Economics minor. He got 800 scores (100%) at SAT MATH. He really liked math ever since he was in 7th grade and still continue to use math every day. In addition to math, he also enjoys interacting with young people like children, teenagers, and college students. He hopes to become an accountant one day. Outside of my work, I like traveling, playing board games, and learning foreign languages.
Yumna Siddique, Instructor
Yumna Siddique is just going into my first year in college as a biology major at UCR. She has always been interested in math and will be taking calculus with biological and medicine application this upcoming year. She has been tutoring for the past four years in pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus at her high school. She also has experience tutoring younger children at the elementary school level. Her interests include reading, playing volleyball, and spending time with my family.
David Rangel, Instructor
David is currently a junior at the University of California, Riverside studying Chemical Engineering. He is actively involved at UCR as a mentor to incoming freshman chemical engineers, a member of the City Relations Committee, and a research assistant in his professor's biotechnology lab. He hopes to pursue a career in the biotechnology industry upon graduating. David has been tutoring in math since high school and finds it to be very rewarding. On his spare time, he loves to spend time with his family and exercise with his dog, Hachi.
Armish Siddiqi, Instructor
Armish Siddiqi is in her first year of college as a Business Administration major. She graduated from Centennial High School and has completed math courses up till Calculus 1. Armish has tutored CNUSD students ranging from grades K-8 in math for around 5 years, she believes tutoring is a rewarding job and the joy of clarifying a problem for a student is extraordinary. She believes Mathnasium is a great fit for her because she enjoys math and loves working with younger children. Armish considers math to be fun and claims that math is one of the most important subjects she has learned in school and aspires to show that to everyone else through simpler approaches! In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, travel, catch up on her favorite TV shows, and enjoys a good laugh!
Zachary Rodeheaver, Instructor
Zachary Rodeheaver is currently attending Cal Poly Pomona in pursuit of a degree in pure mathematics. He has always been great with numbers and has a passion for helping students find their potential and discover a love for mathematics. He hopes to teach at a high school level and eventually become a college professor. He believes that there is nothing more satisfying than that moment when someone realizes that they have everything they need in order to excel in math. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games with his friends online, or to write some music.
Juhi Dhiren Buch, Instructor
Juhi just received her bachelor’s degree in secondary education from New York University. Initially a bio engineering major, Juhi decided that teaching children was her true calling. With experience in the challenges of urban New York City schools, Juhi has a passion for getting kids motivated about learning. She wants to give students confidence in their own skills so they can excel in mathematics and in their other educational goals.
