Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Geetha Radhakrishnan

Instructor
I hold a Master's Degree in Bio-Chemistry, and I have always enjoyed math, as well as teaching math to students. I am passionate about teaching and encouraging students with positive reinforcement. Watching my students grow with confidence brings me joy. I spend most of my time with my kids. Gardening and art are also hobbies of mine.

Chris Mortika

Instructor
My name is Chris Mortika, and I have been a classroom teacher for twenty-five years. I've taught mathematics, but also critical thinking, computer science, and perhaps surprisingly, English grammar. Through my career, I've taught mathematics to students from 3rd-grade through college; for the last seven years, it's been my privilege to teach at a charter high school for the arts in Eden Prairie. I love tutoring at Mathnasium because it gives me a chance to work with individual students in an unrushed atmosphere. The students have the time to ask as many questions as they need, and I have the opportunity to offer corrections or explanations. In my spare time, I direct a music performance group at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.

Shriya Nandakumar

Instructor
Shriya holds a Bachelors in Engineering and a MBA. Her previous experiences include in the IT industry as well as a corporate and undergrad trainer on project management and 3D design software. In her words, "Its interesting to see children learn and interpret math in a variety of ways, I always strive to emphasize conceptual understanding over procedure". In her leisure time she likes trying to cook different cuisines and spending time with family.

Rodey Batiza

Instructor
I am a retired university professor who moved to Minnesota to be close to two grandsons, ages 8 and 10. I have always enjoyed working with kids and helping them to learn difficult subjects. As a geologist and geochemist, trying to figure out where rocks that come out of volcanoes come from is a difficult matter. Teaching students about this is challenging and fun and I have enjoyed this all my career. I very much enjoy working with kids at Mathnasium. Math is a difficult subject and it is always a great feeling to see a young student “get it”. I was born in Mexico and moved to the US when I was 11 years old. I still speak Spanish fluently, so if you are still learning English, I can help with that too.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
