Clare graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from San Jose State University, and received a Hotel Management degree in China. Clare has gained a strong financial and mathematical background over 10 years of working experience in the high tech and financial service industries. Clare carries the same enthusiasm to Mathnasium, where she wants to help children excel in math, and build a solid foundation for their advanced education. Clare loves Mathnasium’s way of teaching, “Teach kids math in a way that makes sense to them”. She believes every child can be successful in life if learning becomes fun!

Deric graduated from San Jose State University with an MBA and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. He has spent over 15 years working in high tech and real estate industries. With a passion for math since his childhood and knowing that education has made a big difference in his life, Deric wants to help his son, Darin and other children in the community to stay ahead of their competition. Deric joined Mathnasium with passion and enthusiasm, and he believes that Mathnasium’s methods can change a child’s view of learning math in a positive way. No child should be left behind. With Mathnasium’s teaching methodology, Deric is very confident that children from any background or level can overcome obstacles to achieve greater success in school and in life.
