Our Team

Don Walter, Center Director
Don and his wife Fran have lived in Florence since 1984. Don graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS in Chemical Engineering, worked in manufacturing for 18 years with a focus on quality assurance. In 2003, he took the quality skills he developed, including his certification in six-sigma methodology and applied them in the banking industry, establishing controls unique to that industry as a First Vice President. Don loves working with youth. Throughout the raising of his son and daughter, he was engaged in many youth leadership programs including Scouting, Coaching, Sunday School and Church Youth Groups. Mathnasium will merge his love of children with his love and experience with practical math. “I don’t want any child to limit their career or life dreams because of a fear of math, or undeveloped skills. Math is a tool that CAN be developed with the right instruction.”
Rentha Dill, Lead Instructor
Rentha graduated from Francis Marion University with a BBA in Accounting. She has held multiple positions in Florence area banking. Her most recent position was Vice President in Accounting and Contract Administration. Rentha has been involved with home-schooling for the past seven years, successfully directing the graduation of her daughter through high school. This experience has affirmed Rentha’s passion for teaching, with math being her favorite subject. Mathnasium allows her to share her love of math with youth in the community.
