At Mathnasium, we help kids understand math by teaching the way that makes sense to them. Children who consistently attend sessions at our learning centers enjoy a transformative learning experience and make huge strides in the classroom.
Attitude: When math makes sense, kids develop a more positive attitude toward math.
Understanding: Mathnasium teaches for understanding, giving students the ability to succeed in any math environment. As Larry Martinek, Mathnasium’s Chief Instructional Officer notes, “It's pretty easy to forget things you memorize and near impossible to forget things you understand."
School Progress: When kids learn math in a way that they truly understand, they achieve greater success in the classroom.

"All 3 of my kids have been to Mathnasium Fountain Valley for help with various math classes and SAT/ACT prep. They literally saved my daughter in Geometry! The combination of assisting on current work with strengthening the student's math foundation is unbeatable. They work to make sure the student understands the topic, trying different approaches until the student gets it. Kip and his team treat each student as an individual and with caring and respect. Each student is made to feel as though his or her success is of utmost importance. Kip's enthusiasm makes all the difference; you can tell he really loves helping kids understand. If your student struggles with math, if you want to make sure they have a firm foundation for upper level math, or if they love math and want to do more of it, you won't find a better place for them than Mathnasium Fountain Valley!"
"My son's grades were slipping in Algebra and a couple of weeks after being enrolled in to Mathnasium, they have improved. They made a custom tailored program to fit his needs and help him achieve a better understanding of concepts. I like that they help the student look at things differently to help them come up with the solution."
"This summer I had an opportunity to share one of the most amazing educational experiences I have had in my adult live with our granddaughter. When I stopped in during the spring to pick up information for our 11 year old granddaughter, I had no idea how exceptional Mathnasium of Fountain Valley would be. The Center Director, Kip Fisher was very generous with his time.
The Center, new to the community is well lighted with no nonsense but attractive furnishings (tables, desks, chairs, book cases filled with student binders, math materials and math games). The most amazing thing about this learning center is the only subject being taught is “MATH”! I felt this was just what we were looking for, our granddaughter was enrolled and that was one of the best things we have done to help insure a quality education for her.The most important element about this learning center is the Director, Kip Fisher, who is present and available for conferences or to teach when necessary. The staff of educators assembled by the Director is outstanding.
The Fountain Valley Mathnasium is staffed with outstanding educators doing an outstanding job of teaching math and making it fun. Our granddaughter never missed a day of the 20 sessions and has moved up one math grade level. On her last day she said “I cannot wait until next year!If education is a priority for your child, the learning center for them is “MATHNASIUM” of Fountain Valley. Kip Fisher and Staff, thank you!"
Kip and Mathnasium Staff-
Yesterday was a very emotional day for me as M received her 2nd trimester report card for 4th Grade. M has always struggled with school. She spent summers working on workbooks I bought and assignments I got from the internet. She also read, and I enrolled her in Mathnasium at the end of June 2016. I make an effort to have her attend four days a week.
She received her report card, and she got all As with one B-!!! She also received an A- in math. I had tears of joy. Moreover, she completed a self-assessment and she said her best subject was math and the best part of 4thgrade was math.
Thank you for all that you do. Without Mathnasium, M would not have achieved this success. I am so grateful to the staff who all played a crucial role in M getting an A- in math. Truly, thank you.
