Jack Fagan

Center Director
Hello everyone! My name is Jack Fagan, and I am the Center Director here at Mathnasium of Germantown. I have worked for Mathnasium for 4 years, and have worked with centers all over Maryland and Pennsylvania! I enjoy listening to music, being with my family and friends, and I especially love math!

My favorite number: 74 because it reminds me of a SpongeBob episode

My favorite math joke: Why did Pi get its license revoked? It doesn't know when to stop!

Interesting Fact: I have presented a court case in front of Maryland Judges!

Snowlin Alex

Center Director
I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a degree in Computer Science. I have a passion for math and science but I am also very artistic. My hobbies include painting, hanging out with friends and finding any way to stay active like yoga, cycling, and hiking.

Favorite number: 3.

Math joke: Why are equal signs so humble? Because they know they aren’t greater than or less than!

Fun Fact: The number zero was first used in India over 5,000 years ago.

Ayesha Kamal

Senior Administrator
Hi, My name is Ayesha Kamal; I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics; I am also an ESOL teacher for non-native children; and a proud Mathnasium Mom of two wonderful kids. I have been associated with Mathnasium for the last 4 years. I enjoy being with my family, learning Behavioral Science, and cooking.

My favorite number: 22, As it symbolizes serenity, adaptability, insight, selflessness, relationships, and sensitivity.

My favorite Math joke: There’s a fine line between a numerator and a denominator… But only a fraction would understand.

Interesting fact: I speak four languages (English, Urdu, Arabic, and Persian)

Christina Brescia

Christina attended Montgomery College and Towson University, earning a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Illustration. She has been with Mathnasium for over 3 years.

Favorite number: Infinity, as it is a hard concept for the human mind to grasp both in math and science.

Math Joke: You know what seems odd to me? Numbers that can't be divided by 2!

Interesting fact: We are able to observe white dwarf stars because if an object produces heat, then it also produces light.

Michelle Wong

I am currently a junior at University of Maryland, double majoring in Criminal Justice and Mathematics. I love forensic science and calculus, as well as mystery novels and video games!

Interesting fact: No two people can have the same fingerprints, not even identical twins!

I graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. I love everything to do with space and also enjoy video games, hanging out with friends, and board games like chess.

Math joke: Why does nobody talk to circles? Because there is no point!

Fact: The closest star to Earth that isn't our sun is Proxima Centauri and it is 4.3 light-years away, meaning when you look at it in the night sky you are seeing it shine from 4.3 years ago.
