Instructor
Having pursued a degree in Computer Science at Stony Brook University, Charles is one of our founding instructors at Mathnasium of Glen Cove. He has devoted over a decade to enriching our community and guiding children in their mathematical journeys. His interests encompasses gardening, enjoying nature, bird watching, and maintaining his personal aquariums. He proudly labels himself a “science nerd,” showcasing his fondness in Evolution. Charles currently aspires to improve his piano skills, learn a third language, and write a memoir.

Daniel W.

Lead Instructor
At University of Massachusetts Amherst, Dan pursued majors in both math and music. As one of our founding Instructors at Glen Cove Mathnasium, Dan has a decade-long tenure as a Math Instructor. His passion for playing instruments led to a deeper understanding of mathematics. Dan loves to express the parallel relationship between music and math and how they share same attributes of logic, precision, and patterns! Recently, Dan achieved a Masters degree in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Outside of his professional pursuits, Dan finds joy in reading, hiking, and bird-watching. Trigonometry Joke : “Why do mathematicians avoid the beach? Because they don’t need the sun to get a tan, they have sine and cosine!”

Orin F.

Instructor
Orin is currently in her third year of pursuing a dual major in mathematics and premedical sciences. She had the privilege of attending a specialized high school in New York City, where she consistently maintained a 4.0 GPA. She believes that proficiency in mathematics can contribute to one's well-roundedness. In her free time, she reads cultural literature. Additionally, she actively participate in my school's MSA, where she engages in fundraising efforts for charitable causes. Her passion is to become a doctor and help save lives! MATH JOKE: Why is 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 "eight" 9!

Ethan S.

Instructor
Ethan Silverman is a junior at LIU Post studying music and technology. He's always been good with numbers, and he's very eager to teach the younger generations his unique ways of thinking about math problems to make it easier for them. After all, he's a calendar and calculator savant as well! He's also a keyboard player, music composer, and competitive bowler. Which package of stuffed animals would come faster: 10 bears or 11 frogs? 11 frogs, because it's Amazon Prime!
