Dawn Sheriff, Owner & Center Director
Dawn Sheriff is the Owner & Center Director at Mathnasium of Greenville Five Forks. With 20+ years in education, Dawn has teaching experience ranging from preschool through high school. Dawn is passionate about helping children and believes early intervention can help every child succeed. She has an MLIS from University of South Carolina and a BA in Secondary Education from Clemson University. Watching her own children struggle in both private and public programs has shaped her feelings about education. Dawn is excited about the opportunity to help every child in the Greenville community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. She has taught and tutored children of all ages, and she is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community.
Andy Moehlenbrock, Instructor
Andy is retired from life as an engineer. His work history includes years at both Sealed Air Corporation and Kemet Electronics. These days, he is enjoying retirement teaching others math and spending time with his grandchildren. Andy and his wife Maxine just welcomed grandchild #6 in early August 2017, and he thinks retirement will be the best years yet. We are so happy he's choosing to share his love of math with our students every day!
Ed Alport, Instructor
Ed retired recently from a career in engineering. He is a master of systems and processes. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife Karen and teaching math to students of all ages. You will often see him working at the front desk as well as working with students. He can do it all! As the Mauldin Elementary 4th graders say, "Ed is AWESOME!" We are simply thrilled to have him as part of Team Mathnasium!
Rachel Mann, Instructor
Rachel is a former high school Geometry teacher. In addition to working at Mathnasium, she also teaches courses at both Tri-County Techical College and Greenville Technical College. She also has many years of experience teaching karate! Rachel and her husband have two (almost grown) sons. We are super-excited to have her as part of our Rock-Star Math Team!
Rene Brewer, Instructor
Mrs. Renee LOVES math! After retiring from a career in restaurant management, she has happily joined our Mathnasium team to share her love of math with others. She and her husband Ben have two fur babies, Paco and Lola, that enjoy walks in the park and nap time with Ben. Her patience and kindness are inspiring. We are so glad to have her as part of the Mathnasium team!
Brittnie Manning, Instructor
During the day, Brittnie is an 8th grade math teacher at Brewer Middle School in Greenwood School District 50. Brittnie loves Jesus, her husband and ALGEBRA, all in that order! She will be available late evenings during the school week and weekends. Her smile and enthusiasm are contagious and we are happy to have her aboard!
Kinley Anderson, Instructor
Kinley is a senior at Brashier Middle College this year. She is president of the National Honors Society at her school and is also a member of student council. She is considering being a pediatric physical therapist and plans to attend Clemson University next year. She was also recently named Valedictorian of her class! She has two dogs named Bulwinkle & Rocky. She also enjoys leading a small group at Grace Church.
Fun Fact: Kinley has been doing ballet for 14 years and perfoms with the Dance Theatre of Greenville.
Asa LaBelle, Instructor
Asa is a senior at Mauldin High School who loves math and is a natural teacher. He is a member of Mu Alph Theta and enjoys plays lacrosse for the Mavericks when he isn't teaching in our center. (If you happen to see our mascot on Woodruff Road, it's probably this guy in disguise! He loves being our marketing guy dressed as Ace and he is AWESOME at it!)
Sophie Pavia, Instructor
Sophie is a senior at Mauldin High School where she is a member of Mu Alpha Theta and student council. She loves working with kids and she loves math! Sophie is also a dancer at Dance Theater Greenville. (Sophie will be headed to FSU next year to major in Mathematics.) We are so glad to have her as part of our Mathnasium team!
Tamara Koch, Instructor
Tamara, a 2017 graduate of Mauldin High School and former member of the Maverick's Mu Alpha Theta Team, is a freshman at Clemson University this year. (Go Tigers!) Due to her school schedule, Tamara works Saturdays, Sundays and other school breaks. We're happy to have her here!
Reagan Palladino, Instructor
Reagan is a rising senior at Brashier Middle College. In addition to being an awesome instructor, she enjoys swimming and volleyball in her free time. We are glad to have her as part of our Mathnasium Team!
Kendall Hillson, Instructor
Kendall is a rising senior at Mauldin High School where she is a member of Mu Alpha Theta and a member of the girls varsity basketball team.
Tyler Catoe, Instructor
Tyler is a senior at Eastside High School this year. He will be headed to Clemson University in the fall to pursue a degree in Math Education. (Go Tigers!) After graduation, Tyler hopes to teach math either on the high school or college level.
Hannah Fugate, Instructor
Hannah is a rising senior at Brashier Middle College this year. In addition to being a fantastic instructor, Hannah enjoys playing softball for the Varsity team.
