Jon received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Oregon. He finished his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at the University of Wyoming. He also received a Masters of Science in Teaching in Math from the University of Wyoming. Jon taught high school math in Wheatland Wyoming. He has 15 years of experience teaching and coaching youth. He spent the last 5 plus years working at Dell Inc in the business sales dept. Jon was very excited to bring the first Mathnasium to Tennessee. He loves teaching and working with kids. “Mathnasium gives students the understanding they need to be successful in math. Math can be a lot of fun and we have a lot of fun building top notch Mathletes in Mt Juliet and the surrounding area” Jon says.

Elaine received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming. Elaine taught grade school and middle school math, science and PE in Eugene, Oregon for 3 years. Elaine returned to the University of Wyoming and received her Masters of Science in Counselor Education. She worked for 2 years in a residential treatment center and then returned the public schools as a middle school guidance counselor for 4 years in Wheatland Wyoming. Elaine also loves working with kids and building confidence in their abilities. “Success in school helps to create a solid self image which then translates into future success and achievements” says Elaine. She believes that confidence in math is key to the future plans and accomplishments of a student.
