New YouTube series: Operation Mathlete

We are excited to share with you a new youtube series called Operation Mathlete. Its about three struggling math students thet get trained to be become mathletes and win up to $1000 by completeing 5 math challenges. In the first episode the students get paired with hand picked math instructors. They also learn that their first challenge will be about patterns. The show is hosted by Mathnasium's creater Larry Martinek. Check out Episode 1: Initiation.

Rubik's Snake - Our New Favorite Puzzle

In 1981, Ernő Rubik, hot on the heels of his 1977 smash-hit the Rubik's Cube, invented and released the Rubik's Snake, a very different kind of puzzle. The Snake consists of 24 isosceles triangular prisms, connected by spring bolts. The prisms can't be separated, but they can be twisted, allowing one to form the snake into many different shapes.
