Our Team
Harry Potvin believes every child can excel at math - regardless of their age or current ability with the subject. That's because he knows when things get tough, children don't hate math. They hate being confused and intimidated by math. And he knows how to help turn confusion and intimidation into success!
Harry earned a Bachelor's Degree from GMI (now known as Kettering University) and a Master's Degree from Wayne State University. He has more than 35 successful years of business experience - and more importantly - a lifelong love and affinity for mathematics.

Christine Potvin earned an Associate’s Degree and spent nearly a decade in Manufacturing Engineering before becoming a mother. She understands how stressful math can be for a child - and that it doesn't have to be.
After many years spent raising children full-time, Christine now has nearly 15 years serving with the Lake Orion Public School System under her belt as an elementary, middle and high school employee. In her role as a mother and school employee, she has seen first-hand the importance a solid understanding of mathematics plays in a child's academic career. She has an amazing ability to make learning fun, and an excellent rapport with children.
Together, Harry and Chris have raised three children, and are actively working to give their two pre-K grandchildren a solid understanding of mathematics from a young age. They have both been active community volunteers in countless youth programs for the past 25 years.
Harry and Chris have a strong desire to continue making a positive impact on young people by sharing the Mathnasium Method with local students - a method that gives children an effective, engaging and encouraging learning experience
