Our Team

Sima graduated from the Mercer University School of Medicine with a Master of Public Health degree. During the Public Health program, Sima developed materials educating youth in the Macon area on making healthy food selections through the use of mass media.

Sima opened Mathnasium because of its innovative approach to teach mathematics to youth. This correlation to her experience at Mercer University and a natural affinity math attracted her to this business. Before she came to the United Stated she has been an instructor at a medical school and assistant principal of a primary school in her native country.

Sima is married with two children and lives in Macon, Georgia.

Sheila graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a Masters in Education. She has Georgia certification in early childhood education, middle grades, and as a reading specialist. Sheila taught math in public schools and private schools in Macon, Atlanta, and Maryland. Her teaching experiences have included elementary, post-secondary, and middle school grades with a strong emphasis in mathematics.

In addition to her love of teaching math, Sheila enjoys cooking and traveling. She lives in Macon with her husband.

Hallie has lived in the Macon area for more than 30 years. Over the years, she has spent great deal of time tutoring family and friends in math and thus decided to make this her career. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Macon State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. She teaches math at Westside High School in Macon.

Hallie lives in Macon with her husband and two dogs. In addition to math, she enjoys fishing, traveling, movies, and time with family.

Christopher was born in Macon,GA. He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics. Throughout his school career Christopher has enjoyed tutoring numerous students of Bibb County Schools and working as a teaching assistant, tutor, and facilitator at Georgia Tech. He has returned to his alma mater, Westside High School, to teach high school mathematics.

In addition to mathematics, Christopher loves anything Georgia Tech, exploring new mathematical ideas, and enjoying life.

Melissa was born in Mississippi and moved many places in the United States with her military family(Air Force). She attended Houston County High School in Warner Robins, GA and graduated in 2005. She graduated with her Bachelors in Early Childhood education from Georgia College and State University in 2009 and received her Master's from Walden University in 2011. Melissa has taught Special Education part time for 4 years.

Melissa enjoys knitting and roller-skating in her spare time.

Muhammad was raised in the Macon, Georgia area. He attended Central High School and received the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. After high school, he attended The University of Georgia and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering. Throughout his school career, math has always been strength and he has developed a passion for sharing this skill with others.

Muhammad lives in Macon and enjoys traveling and time spent outdoors.
