My name is Dan Weber and I am the Center Director here at Mathnasium of Manhattan Beach. I was born in raised and Manhattan Beach, CA and graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy, Management & Planning. After working in the Financial Industry for 10 years, I decided to pursue my true passion of working with others. I have worked at three other centers, and I've been able to transform the lives of more than 500 students. Of those centers, I operated the original Mathnasium of Westwood for six months. There I trained corporate employees and trained new franchise owners in the Mathnasium Method. I helped over 160 students achieve their goals in mathematics. I look forward to the opportunity to change your child's world.
Asad, Assistant Director
With a passion for history and world affairs, I was always interested in the impact that mathematics can have on the world. From technology in the palm of our hands to satellites orbiting planets far and wide, math has allowed civilizations to prosper and humanity to thrive! I attended the University of Southern California studying Political Science and Business Law. With work in the non-profit and government sectors, I was involved first-hand in the budget resolutions and political negotiations that impact our children and the education system! I had the honor and privilege of representing my Congressman and Congressional District to President Barack Obama upon his arrival in Los Angeles. During college, I was involved in student leadership and served as a liaison between the student body and the college administration. After graduation, I joined the Mathnasium family in an effort to increase our children's confidence from the get-go so they are better-equipped to tackle the greatest challenges life throws their way. I take great pride in serving your family and making the United States more competitive in S.T.E.M. fields one day at a time!

With his struggles in math, he wishes to teach children of all ages the appreciation and practicality of math. When not at Mathnasium, he enjoys tinkering with hardware, watching anime and playing videogames.
Dan, Lead Instructor
Growing up in Ohio, I always had a knack for questioning why things worked. It was this passion that made me fall in love with math. Whether attempting to make sense of the physics behind a yo-yo or marveling at the symmetry or patterns I could find in nature, math seemed to always be at the forefront of these phenomena. I went to Grinnell College in small town Iowa, where I studied theoretical mathematics and was honored to serve as the student body president during my fourth year. Upon graduation, I went into the non-profit healthcare finance sector while tutoring children privately as a side hobby. I ended up loving my hobby more than my work, so I decided to make a change and join the team here at Mathnasium. Nothing felt more rewarding than watching a student's face light up when doing math because they were no longer intimidated by the subject. It's that moment that keeps me going every day!
