Tatyana

Center Manager in Training
Tatyana graduated from Texas State University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Upon completion of her degree, she joined the Americorps where she mentored and tutored for a program called City Year, eventually becoming a team leader in the San Antonio School District. After completing the program, Tatyana gained a love for education and tutoring and decided to make it her full-time career. She worked as an Education Program Manager bringing virtual teachers into schools before discovering and joining the Mathnasium team. She is so excited to learn and grow with Mathnasium.

Andrea

District Manager
Andrea has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a focus in leadership from the University of Houston Clear Lake. After overcoming her fear of math and difficulties in Geometry, Andrea now loves math and finds it interesting. She has completed College Algebra, Pre-Cal, Finite Math, Statistics and Business Calculus. Andrea has been in the tutoring business for over 10 years, in tutoring and management roles. Her love for children and helping them overcome their fear of math is what she looks forward to every day. Andrea loves that “light-bulb” moment when children learn something new or finally grasp something that has been difficult for them. She enjoys changing lives through math!

Sonja

District Manager in Training
Sonja has been a multi-unit leader for over 15 years in the retail industry. She has a passion for leading and developing high-performing teams. Sonja's unwavering dedication to helping children build a solid foundation in mathematics is what gives her work profound meaning. As a child, she faced an overwhelming fear of math. It was an obstacle that hindered her potential, but one she eventually conquered with perseverance and guidance. Driven by a desire to spare others from experiencing the anxiety she once felt, Sonja's goal is helping children overcome their own apprehensions. She cherishes the opportunity to make a lasting impact on young minds, molding them into confident problem solvers.

Joe

Regional Manager
Joe joined the Mathnasium team in the Fall of 2021. He graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor's degree in Business. He brings 16 years of Leadership experience in the retail and restaurant industries. He was a Multi-Unit leader for both a top grocery retailer and the fastest growing restaurant chain in the US. Joe has an incredible passion for developing others and helping them maximize their own potential. He has coached youth baseball/softball and also coached his daughters in soccer. He is excited to be able to serve the community through helping change the lives of students through math.

Jodi

Director of Education
Jodi has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Math from Hope College and graduated with her secondary teaching certificate. She also has a Master’s degree in Math Education and a Specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College. Jodi has been teaching for 20 years and has taught all levels from 8th grade math to IB math studies. Jodi is also a certified gifted instructor. Jodi loves to teach and tutor because she loves to see the sense of great achievement when a student grasps a difficult math concept! She also believes that every student can succeed and excel with the proper tools and support.

Lauren

Director of Training
Lauren graduated from the University of Central Florida with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree focused on Mathematics Education and Psychology. She has mastered math skills in the areas of College Algebra, Calculus I – Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Statistics I & II. Lauren developed a passion for math education during her first two years of high school, and it continued throughout her college years. She believes that math is meant to be challenging and enjoyable, not frustrating and scary. Since starting at Mathnasium in 2011, she has enjoyed the continued success of her students and inspiring them to love math as much as she does.

Ed

Chief Operating Officer
Ed has been a multi-unit leader for over 15 years and has had the pleasure of working with two Fortune 500 companies during his leadership career. His focus has always been on developing the best team to deliver the most incredible and memorable customer experience. “Love what you do, be the best at it, and success will follow.” He has always had a passion for coaching and teaching others. He has coached his son's and daughter’s little league baseball and softball teams, and has volunteered his time as a coach for the Catholic Youth League basketball, soccer, and football teams. His passion to lead and help others has led him to join the Mathnasium team as the District Manager. Ed is honored to lead a team of Center Managers in helping math make sense for all of our students.
