Hannah

Assistant Center Director
Hannah is a graduate of Baptist College of Ministry with a Bachelor’s Degree in music. She assisted a middle school math class at Falls Baptist Academy during her last two years of college. Hannah loves math and especially enjoys helping others to love math too. She enjoys spending time outside, gardening, teaching music, and playing her viola and piano. Hannah has been with Mathnasium since August 2017. Hannah's favorite math joke: Why was 7 so over his job? He just couldn’t even.

Collin

Lead Instructor
Collin is a sophomore at UW-Milwaukee pursuing a degree in education. Outside of school, Collin enjoys swimming, spending time with friends and family, and finding new restaurants to eat at. Collin loves working with kids at Mathnasium to help them understand concepts they might not get and make learning enjoyable for them. Collin is now a lead instructor at the same Mathnasium he attended for years. Collin’s favorite math joke is: I saw my math teacher with a piece of graph paper, I think they must be plotting something :)

Mike

Instructor
Mike graduated from UW-Milwaukee with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics. He retired from the Milwaukee Public Schools where he taught secondary math for over thirty years. He also spent five years as a mathematics lecturer at UW-Waukesha. Mike's favorite math joke: There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

MJ

Instructor
Mary Jean earned her BS degree in Secondary Education/Mathematics at UW-Milwaukee in 1988. She has been teaching children mathematics for many years, mainly at the middle school level. She loves helping students better comprehend math, and especially enjoys seeing when the "light bulb" of understanding shows on their faces. MJ's favorite math joke: What's the best place to do math homework? A: On a multiplication table

Sophie

Instructor
Sophie is a freshman at UW-Madison majoring in neurobiology and genetics. She enjoys math and science and has completed several advanced math and science classes. In her free time, Sophie loves reading, working out, watching Disney movies, playing with her dogs and completing puzzles. She enjoys working with children, helping them learn and grow, specifically in areas involving math and science. Sophie’s favorite math joke is: What happened to the plant in math class? A: It grew square roots.

Andie

Instructor
Andie is a junior at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. They are majoring in Math Education. They have completed several advanced math and science classes. At their school, Andie is the Math club President. Outside of school, they like to bake and rock climb. They are excited to help children learn math and have fun. Andie's Favorite Math Joke: What do you call two friends who love math? Algebros!

Lexi

Instructor
Lexi is a senior at Hamilton High School. She has always enjoyed math and science, and she has taken many advanced classes in those subjects. Outside of school, Lexi competes on a dance team and spends time with her family and friends. She loves to learn more and is always excited to become a more knowledgeable person. Lexi enjoys helping children become more logical thinkers and be able to improve their math skills. Lexi's Favorite Math Joke: Parallel lines have so much in common...It's a shame they'll never meet.

Ben

Instructor
Ben is a senior at Menomonee Falls High School. He likes math and science and has taken some upper-level classes in math, English, history, and science. He would like to continue this type of rigor in the classroom in the future. He is the assistant offensive coordinator for the MFHS Varsity Football team and is a part of many clubs at Menomonee Falls including math club and FBLA. Outside of school, Ben loves scouting and has earned the Eagle Scout award. He wants to help younger students learn to appreciate mathematics and have fun doing math. Ben's favorite math joke: Why do plants hate math? A: Because it gives them square roots.

Ella

Instructor
Ella is a junior at Germantown High School. She loves all things to do with science and math! Ella participates in her school's a cappella group, Soltown, and plays club soccer. Also, she volunteers at her church every weekend working with the younger kids. She is so happy to be a part of the Mathnasium team! Her favorite math joke is: Why should you never argue with a 90 degree angle? A: It will always be right

Brooklyn

Instructor
Brooklyn is a sophomore at Menomonee Falls High School. She enjoys math and science and is in the STEM academy in the engineering strand. In her free time, Brooklyn enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Brooklyn loves to see children learn and grow their math skills and hopes to help kids to like math just a little bit more. Brooklyn's favorite math joke: What did the acorn say when it grew up? Ge - om - e - try (gee, I'm a tree)

Raghav

Instructor
Raghav is a junior at Hamilton High School. He is interested in engineering and is taking related courses. Raghav participates in school robotics and tennis club. He loves to spend time with his friends tutoring and playing video games with them. He volunteers at school and outside events to spread positivity. Raghav's favorite math joke: How do you solve any equation? Multiply both sides by zero.

Jessi

Instructor
Jessi is a senior at Hamilton High School who has completed several advanced math classes. She enjoys playing tennis and doing track. In her free time, she likes to walk and play with her goldendoodle, Ruby, spend time with family and friends, and cook/bake. She loves working with kids and helping them reach their highest potential. Jessi's favorite math joke: How do you stay warm in any room? Stand in the corner where it’s always 90 degrees.

Kyle

Instructor
Kyle is a junior at Germantown High School. Math has been my favorite subject and I have taken advanced classes in math and other classes. I also participate in many after school clubs and volunteer a lot. I have 5 younger siblings and enjoy working with kids to help them learn. Kyle's favorite math joke: Why is the equal sign so humble? Because its not < OR > than anybody.

Riya

Instructor
Riya is a junior at Hartford Union High School. Her interest in math sparked early in 7th grade as she practiced challenging algebra problems. Throughout some years in high school, she has also been interested in research, specifically fighting Environmental issues and learning more about the aquatic ecosystem. Outside of the academic world, Riya enjoys performing Indian traditional dance, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends. One day, Riya hopes to strengthen her skills in STEM to go into the medical field. Riya's favorite math joke: You know what's odd to me? Numbers that cannot be divided by 2.

Claire

Instructor
Claire is a senior at Menomonee Falls High School. She loves math and learning new subjects in school. Claire is involved in Future Business Leaders of America and math club at school. She plays soccer and is on the alpine ski race team. Claire enjoys spending time with family and friends outdoors and she enjoys working and volunteering with children. Claire’s favorite math joke is: I’ll do any kind of math you want, except graphing. Graphing is where I draw the line!
