Hai graduated from UC Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology. Having been a teaching assistant for math classes in high school as well as a biology lab course in college, he enjoys figuring out how to help students learn in ways they can easily understand. Hai struggled in math at a young age but made a remarkable turn-around towards the end of middle school. In high school, math became his favorite subject mainly due to the teaching methods of his teachers. He knows that no matter how much a student dislikes doing math, there must be a way to teach it for them to enjoy learning about it. In the future, Hai plans to pursue a health career as a physician's assistant.
Jessica graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Nutritional Science and Physiology. Although she majored in science, she has always enjoyed math and the challenges it presents. In college she got the opportunity to teach kids about ocean science at a local museum. There, she discovered how much fun it was working with kids and how rewarding it was to inspire them. She now hopes to spread a passion for learning in order to help students excel in their future. She likes working with all the different students at the Mathnasium and wants to help them understand and enjoy math as much as she does.
