Our Team

Brad Buckman received his Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1985.

Brad was an electrical engineer from 1985 until 1999 at Texas Instruments and Raytheon, supervising other electrical engineers and managing a design team of multiple engineering positions from 1996 to 1999. Brad was a field applications engineer in the sales organization of Altera from 1999 to 2009; this position included training engineers within Altera as well as at Altera's U.S. customers. Throughout his career Brad's contributions were recognized by his superiors and peers with numerous awards.

Building on his background as a mentor to engineers, Brad through Mathnasium is enacting his long-held desire for children to receive high-quality education.

Akshaya Trivedi received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Irvine in 1993 and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1995. Akshaya tutored undergraduate students for the Tutorial Assistance Program at UC Irvine. He also graded exams and assignments for the Math Department at UC Irvine.

Akshaya was an electrical engineer at several multinational corporations and start-ups from 1995 to 2005. Subsequently, Akshaya transitioned from engineering to strategic and technical marketing, responsible for global customers in his market segment.

Akshaya is passionate about teaching. His success metric: witnessing the light bulb moment in each and every child at the Center.

Beverly Lenoir has a B.A. degree in Math from Baylor University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University--Central Texas, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin.

She taught high school math for 7 years and college computer science for 19 years. She served for 7 1/2 years as Vice President for Academic Affairs at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.

Beverly started working as an Instructor at Mathnasium of Murphy-Plano in September 2010 and became Center Director in January 2012. She enjoys spending time with 5 grandchildren who range in age from 1 to 10 years old.

Lisa Bronowitz is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Liberal Arts, majoring in psychology.

She has tutored middle and high school students in the A.V.I.D. program for the McKinney ISD and was a GED Tutor for young adults at the Plano center of Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas.

Lisa enjoys helping students learn to enjoy math and wishes she had some of the tools from Mathnasium when she was a student.
