Melissa John

Lead Instructor
Melissa has received her Bachelor of Science in Adolescence Education for Mathematics. She is currently working towards her Master of Science in Educational Technology, expecting to receive it in 2025. She has been tutoring/teaching kids for over 6 years and absolutely loves it! She previously tutored at Kumon Math and Reading Center for 3 years, which led her to aspire a career in education. Melissa has also private tutored students for regents preparation and she student taught 11th grade Pre-Calculus classes and 7th grade Pre-Algebra classes. Teaching has always been her passion and Mathnasium has guided me to become the best mentor, teacher and instructor I can be! Melissa loves to bake: brownies, cookies, cupcakes, you name it! She also loves to travel, there are plenty of destinations on her bucket list. A fun fact about her is that she is allergic to practically everything! Most notably coconut and avocados. Her favorite math joke - How do you make the number 7 even? Just remove the s!

Maxamillion O'Connor

Max graduated from New Hyde Park High School lasty year and is currently attending Baruch College.

Nasheed Choudhury

Instructor
Nasheed is a sophomore at Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College, majoring in biology and minoring in politics science. She has been working at Mathnasium since August 2021. Outside of Mathnasium, she reviews student essays and tutor basic math & science. She loves reading, watching movies, skincare and makeup, hanging out with her friends, and eating good food! A fun fact about me her is that she is an extremely light sleeper.

Samridhi Bajaj

Instructor
Samridhi attended Brooklyn Technical High School for grades 9-12. She is a rising freshman at Stony Brook University majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She tutored fellow students in high school and taught classes in different subjects as a summer camp volunteer. Samridhi enjoys reading and listening to music in her free time. Dancing is another one of her favorite hobbies! A fun fact about me is that she is a vegetarian. Her favorite math joke - What did the triangle say to the circle? You're pointless.

Chirag Handa

Instructor
Chirag received his high school diploma from Townsend Harris High School. He is currently attending New York Institute of Technology in the BS/DO program. He started teaching at Mathnasium of New Hyde Park in September of 2022 and enjoys it immensely. Chirag enjoys playing basketball and going to the gym. Fun fact: he can pop out his shoulder blade. His favorite math joke - You know what I find odd? Numbers that can't be divided by two!
