Our Team

Kevin is a graduate of Boston College and a National Merit Commended Scholar. He was born and raised in the Phoenix area, and graduated from Central Phoenix's own Brophy College Prep. He currently teaches Algebra I at Paradise Valley Christian Preparatory in addition to running this center. Kevin is passionate about bringing his mathematical teaching expertise to students in the Central Phoenix area. He loves working with children and is passionate about making math easier for local kids! In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time in the outdoors: hiking, biking and playing team sports.

Kaleigh graduated from North Canyon High School in 2009, and is now pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Family and Child Development at Arizona State University. Kaleigh has worked with children through lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons, tutoring at various Phoenix schools, and coaching girls' softball. Helping children reach their goals is Kaleigh's passion, and we are honored to have had her on our team for nearly two years! Also, Congratulations to Kaleigh on her recent wedding!!

Melissa graduated from Arizona State University in 2008 with a degreee in Elementary Education. She is a certified teacher with all her qualifications to teach middle school math, science and ELL. She currently also works in a literacy center at Washington Elementary School, where she teaches small group reading intervention. Melissa has worked with kids for the last 7 years through before and after school programs and summer camps. In her free time she enjoys skating and playing Roller Derby, or going out to see a movie with friends! We are thrilled to have the skill and knowledge that Melissa will bring to Mathnasium!!

Jake graduated from Brophy College Preparatory in 2009, and is currently pursuing a degree in Accounting at the business school of W.P. Carey at Arizona State University. He is also in the Honors College at ASU. He has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America where he held many leadership positions and spent many years working with younger kids. He completed every advanced math class Brophy had to offer with flying colors. One of his biggest passions is working with kids and helping them understand math. He loves helping kids reach their goals!

Mike graduated from Desert Vista High School in 2009, and is currently pursuing degrees in Accounting and Business in the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He is also in the Honors College at ASU. Mike is a National Merit Scholar, and has always loved math and excelled in all of the math courses available. He enjoys teaching others and seeing them improve in their math skills.

Alex graduated from Cortez High School in 2011, and is now attending the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a major in marketing. He has tutored failing freshmen since his sophomore year and has always enjoyed working with children. He excelled in all honors mathematics courses throughout his education, and brings the knowledge he gained from AP Calculus to benefit the students at Mathnasium. Working with children is something he hopes to carry on throughout his life. An avid music fan, Alex can often be seen at local shows. Impressively, he is also flexing his entrepreneurial muscle running his own painting company! We are lucky to have such a talented young man as part of our staff!

Will graduated from Cortez High School in 2011 and is currently pursuing a degree in astrophysics at Arizona State University. His outstanding academic achievements include AP Calculus and Physics, as well as a 32 on his ACT exam!! Math has been an integral part of his life since he enrolled in honors classes in the third grade. He hopes to share this enthusiasm with some other young people and watch them achieve their true potential!
