Our Team
Rick is a mortgage banking executive with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for education. Rick moved to San Antonio in 2000 and spent 8 years with USAA Federal Savings Bank, prior to opening Mathnasium of Northside San Antonio in 2009. Rick has also spent time as a college professor, teaching various business courses to adults. He has also counseled numerous families on budgeting, facilitating such courses as Financial Peace University and Good Sense Budgeting. In addition to owning this Mathnasium location, Rick remains involved in the local mortgage business as a Texas licensed mortgage loan originator and remains focused on helping families with their individual mortgage financing needs. Outside of work, Rick is active in the community and his church and spends most of his time with Amy and their two boys.
Amy is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University and has over 9 years experience teaching children. She spent seven years teaching preschool and has spent the last two years teaching grades K-5 as a substitute for the Northside Independent School District. Amy is passionate about teaching and providing children the best possible learning environment. As mother of two boys ages 9 and 13, she understands both the learning needs of children and the needs of parents in supporting those learning needs. Amy is also active in the church and, when not working as a substitute teacher, she can often be found volunteering at Steubing Elementary.

Prior to Texas Aaron lived and traveled across the world, due to being raised in a Military family. While living overseas in Spain, Aaron had an opportunity to participate in a program called MATHCOUNTS© in which his team took 3rd in regionals and were able to compete in Germany.
In addition to being a great big brother, Aaron has been working with kids for several years to include local tutoring and instructing Sunday school classes. Aaron is one of Mathnasium of Northside San Antonio’s first instructors and continues to be a valuable asset. Aaron is currently Level III Instructor Certified.
