Programs

K through 8^th Grade

Comprehensive Programs includes two 1 hour sessions per week with experienced math instruction, ongoing written and oral evaluations, an Individualized Textbook, contact with your child’s math teacher, and regular written progress reports.

This month-to-month program has 2 options of initial commitment (3 and 6 months). Once the initial commitment is fulfilled, program can continue on a month-to-month basis at the same rate.

Initial Assessment includes comprehensive oral and written evaluation with a written report. Individualized Textbook is built from our unique Mathnasium curriculum using the analysis from the initial assessment. Regular ongoing adjustments are made as required throughout the program.

High School (2 Programs)

Curriculum Program (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus)

This program is for those students who are looking for support in their current Math course. One or two sessions per week may be chosen. In this case, we spend most of the time helping the student understand the current school curriculum concepts so that they can perform well in that course.

The Curriculum Program includes 1 or 2 one hour sessions per week with experienced math instruction, an Individualized Textbook, and contact with your child’s math teacher to stay aligned with course material.

Primary focus is to help the student understand current material covered in school. The outstanding Mathnasium curriculum, with its very straightforward explanations of concepts, is used to enlighten students as they navigate through their current schoolwork.

In addition, an Initial Assessment will be used to identify the student’s current state and needs, which will help determine if prerequisite material needs to be reviewed in support of understanding current schoolwork material.

This program is targeted for the High School student with many gaps and in need of pre-requisite conceptual understanding of math. The student’s conceptual gaps are identified through an initial assessment and an individualized Learning Plan is developed from our Mathnasium curriculum. A limited amount of time during the hour is available to help with current homework.

The Foundations Program includes two 1 hour sessions per week with experienced math instruction, ongoing written and oral evaluations, an Individualized Textbook, contact with your child’s math teacher, and regular written progress reports.

This is a month-to-month program with an initial commitment of 6 months.  Once the initial commitment is fulfilled, program can continue on a month-to-month basis at the same rate.

ACT and SAT Prep Programs

This program is specifically focused on preparing a student for the Math portion of the ACT or SAT test. An assessment specifically related to ACT or SAT math content is administered to identify conceptual gaps. In addition, sample tests will be frequently conducted on site.  We will also teach the student a variety of test taking strategies to ensure the highest score.  As this program is concentrating on prepping for the ACT or SAT test, no help with current schoolwork is provided.

This Test Prep Program includes two 1 hour sessions per week with experienced math instruction, ongoing ACT or SAT Sample Tests, and an Individualized Textbook.

This is a month-to-month program with an initial commitment of 2 months.  Once the initial commitment is fulfilled, program can continue on a month-to-month basis at the same rate.
