Our Team

Tommy graduated from University of West Georgia in the year 2000 with a BBA in Finance. He worked in corporate finance in the telecommunication industry from 2000 - 2008 as a senior financial analyst. His employment portfolio includes companies such as Verizon, Orkin, and Telwares Consulting. In 2007 – 2008, he worked as a Vice Principal and taught middle and high school math for a private school in Cobb County.
Tommy has volunteered for over 15 years in various children’s ministries. He has volunteered as a mentor for the Advocates of Bartow County and has led various children’s programs for other nonprofit organizations. He works in these programs because he believes that impacting children's lives is the key to the future. His goal is for students to see how math serves them in every facet of life and is key to a successful future in every field.
Tommy believes the Mathnasium method of teaching “Number Sense” is essential to a student’s math education and will instill the love of math in children who exercise these skills. Using this method to bring light and understanding to a difficult subject will open new doors to the future of your children.
Casey graduated from Harrison High School in 2009. He has taken a variety of math courses including Calculus 3 through Georgia Tech. As a high school student, Casey loved math and wanted to influence others to understand math as he did. He has attended NGU in SC until his knee was injured while playing basketball. He transferred back to Georgia and now attends KSU majoring in math education. He hopes to use this education to positively motivate students in their academic and personal dreams.
Kayla graduated from Woodland High School in 2009. She graduated with Honors & Distinction in math with a 4.0 GPA. She has taught classes in a private school in Cobb County for children grades K-5th. She is currently attending Chattahoochee Tech majoring in Early Childhood Education. Kayla has 3 younger siblings and has always loved working with children both as a teacher and a mentor. She is passionate about creating a love for math and overall learning in every student she works with. Kayla has been a part of the Mathnasium family since 2008.
Tommy is a Junior at Harrison High School with a 4.2 GPA. He is currently taking AP Calculus and will be taking Calculus 2 at GA Tech his senior year. He volunteers at his church, plays football for Harrison HS and is part of the Beta club. Tommy works well with kids and looks for opportunities through the Beta club to work at Cobb area middle and elementary schools. He wants to go to GA Tech upon graduation to focus on engineering.
Caleb is a high school Senior, achieving a 4.0 GPA with Abeka Academy, homeschooling program after taking two years of Algebra and a course on Plane Geometry. He is currently taking Pre-Calculus. Hoping to major in education, Caleb is getting all the training he can, both with his job here at Mathnasium, and working as a Den Chief (Cub Scout leader) for Troop 89. He has always loved math, and has always enjoyed teaching children by helping them understand and acquire new skills. Caleb excitedly combining these two pursuits while working here.
Kate graduated from Kennesaw Mountain High School in 2006. In 2010, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from KSU with a Bachelor in Mathematics Education and is currently certified to teach in Georgia. She is currently studying graphic design Kate enjoys tutoring students with math, and loves helping math make sense to them.
Rebecca is a Senior in Kennesaw Mountain High School and is enrolled in the Math, Science and Technology Magnet program. She is currently the class President. She is taking numerous advanced math courses that emphasize peer teacher and tutoring. Rebecca is an officer of many school clubs that include the Model UN, Student government and the Kennesaw Youth and Magnet leadership. She hopes to major in a field with Applied Sciences. Rebecca loves to help students find a passion for learning and help them identify their strengths.
Kelsey is a Senior at Kennesaw Mountain High School and is enrolled in the Math, Science and Technology Magnet program. She has a 4.0 GPA and is taking AP calculus AB and BC. She volunteers at Tellus Northwest Museum of Science. She also actively participates in clubs at her school, such as Drama Club, Habitat for Humanity and is an officer for Model United Nations. She wants to attend Emory University for a pre-med or engineering focus. She loves interacting with children and looks incorporate this love in her career. Her patience with students helps her connect well with students of all ages.
Emily is a Senior at Harrison High School with a 4.2 GPA. She has completed math classes through AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics. She also loves running and soccer for multiple teams included Harrison and club teams. She looks for ways to get involved in the community through Beta club, NHS, MAD and student government. She has hopes to attend UGA for degrees in math and spanish.
