Victoria Overton, Director of Admissions
Mathnasium Master Certified
Credentialed Teacher
Victoria earned a Bachelor of Arts degree as a Mathematics Major from Manchester College and a Master of Science degree in Mathematics Education from Indiana University. She also did extensive graduate work in Mathematics Education after finishing her Master's Degree focusing on Mathematical Problem Solving and Computers. As the Director of Admissions, Victoria leverages her career in teaching to help the students at Mathnasium of Orange excel at math.

Kapil Mathur, Director of Education / Owner
Mathnasium Master Certified
Kapil has been tutoring kids with Math using the Mathnasium Method for almost a decade. Kapil was the first instructor to obtain Mathnasium Master Certification in California. Kapil graduated from Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills. He studied Chemistry and Biology at Chapman University and a master's degree from UCLA. He has extensive experience in math and science education. Kapil co-authored an experiential math and science program for middle school children where basic principles are demonstrated by using ordinary objects. Kapil was also instrumental in developing technology programs involving math, chemistry and physics for the high school student. "Using examples from a child's real world," says Kapil, "is one of the best ways to help them visualize complex mathematical ideas." He currently lives in Orange County with his wife and 2 year old daughter.

Cindy has a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from the University of California, Riverside and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Fullerton. Cindy, a former fifth grade elementary teacher, really enjoys working with children and helping children learn and succeed. Cindy also enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, shopping, cats, and playing sports. She is an Angels and Ducks fan, and you can see her play softball weekly at the local parks in Orange. Cindy graduated from Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills.

Derrik Bustos, Math Tutor

Derrik graduated from Garden Grove High School in 2009. He is currently enrolled as a Biology Major at Cal Poly Pomona. Some of his interests include: drawing/sketching, brain teasers and puzzles, cooking, working with his hands, traveling, and hanging out with his family and friends. Although he has taken several Calculus courses, Geometry and Algebra 2 remain his favorite math classes.

Jordan attends Cal Poly Pomona and is majoring in Mathematics. He has been tutoring kids in math for the last 5 years. He enjoys lifting weights, spending time with friends, and doing math. He plans to obtain a Ph. D. in mathematics.
