Melanie

Lead Instructor
Melanie is currently in her 4th year at the University of Florida and will graduate with her Bachelor’s in Economics and Education Sciences in Spring 2024. In the future, she plans to teach at the high school or college level. She joined the Mathnasium of Pensacola team in 2019 and has loved every minute of working here! She enjoys math on its own merits, but really loves teaching it to others and is excited to help our students learn and grow to love math. In her free time, Melanie loves reading, cooking, painting, and spending time with friends and family.

Clayton

Lead Instructor
Clayton is currently a student at the University of West Florida pursuing a master's degree in Mathematics. In addition to his studies, he is a Lecturer at UWF and teaches College Algebra. After receiving his graduate degree, Clayton plans to continue teaching at the University level. He enjoys playing music, video games, and diving deep into advanced math topics such as Number Theory, and Abstract Algebra. Clayton strives to make sure your student feels comfortable with computations and understanding why we use certain methods and techniques, as well as how they relate to each other.

Melissa

Instructor
Melissa is currently in her first year at Auburn University studying Integrative Biology to prepare for her future in Veterinary Medicine. She started as a Mathnasium student, filling in a couple of missing pieces and supporting her need for a little bit of homework help. Despite the frustration that came with learning under new Covid restrictions, she moved through her material quickly and before we knew it, she no longer needed our support and was ready to start teaching others. We are excited to add her enthusiasm for math to our team!

Kaitlin

Instructor
Kaitlin is a US Navy veteran with a degree in Electrical Engineering focused in Biomedical. Her practical application with mathematics helps her motivate students while instructing. She really enjoys helping students gain confidence in their capabilities and enjoyment in math. She currently works as a clinical technician at Sacred Heart Hospital and is a board member in Gulf Coast Biomedical Society.

Teanna

Instructor
Teanna is currently in her first year of college at PSC, going for her Associate's degree. She plans on majoring in Psychology and minoring in Photography. She loves discovering new, creative ways to do things and helping others understand things about themselves and the world, especially in Math! Having joined Mathnasium during her junior year of high school, she is happy to still be a part of the team.

Jonathan

Instructor
Jonathan received an associate degree from Pensacola State College and is planning to major in Mechanical Engineering at the University of West Florida. He has always enjoyed learning about math and applying it to his various science projects. He strives to make math more fun and less tedious for students. Outside of school, Jonathan spends his time gardening, reading, spending time with family, and working on projects that he finds interesting.

Scott

Instructor
Scott retired from the US Navy after 20 years of flying the P-3C Orion. After that, he worked for another 15 years as an Operations Research Systems Analyst before retiring as a federal employee at NORAD and USNORTHCOM. Scott has degrees in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, as well as a Masters of Business Administration. He has a passion for teaching and tutoring people of all ages. He and his wife, Shari, moved to Pensacola in September 2022 to be closer to their kids. In his spare time, he likes to work on home projects and spend time outdoors.

Molly

Instructor
Molly is currently attending UWF to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education to become a high school math teacher. She finds working at Mathnasium very rewarding, especially when students leave the center saying they love math! In her free time, Molly loves to travel and spend time with friends and family. She spent 3 years living in Europe with her husband who is active duty in the Air Force. While in Europe, she visited almost 15 countries and made lots of memories with friends. She moved to Florida in 2022 and plans on exploring the south while her and her husband are stationed here for the next few years.

Tyler

Instructor
Tyler is currently enrolled at JM Tate High School in Cantonment Florida. He plans to go to college at the University of Florida after graduation and major in Chemical Engineering. One of the things Tyler loves about math is that there is always a way to solve a problem; sometimes, there's multiple ways. Some of his favorite hobbies include playing video games, watching tv shows and movies, talking with friends, and simply enjoying the nice sunshine! Tyler is glad and excited to be apart of the amazing team here at Mathnasium!

Lauren

Instructor
Lauren is currently a 3rd year student at the University of Florida. She is pursuing a Bachelor's of Design in Architecture and a minor in Landscape Architecture. She is very interested in the practical applications of math and physics, especially as it relates to roller coasters, theme parks, and architecture. Her career goal is to work as an Architect in the Themed Entertainment industry, designing immersive new lands and attractions for theme parks across the globe. Her hobbies include reading, crocheting, and watching TV.

Alice

Instructor
Alice is currently a junior at Pensacola High School. She plans on studying computer science in the future. Alice has always enjoyed learning about math and has found solving math problems a very satisfying process. Some of her hobbies include: traveling, cooking, and swimming!

Halle

Instructor
Halle is currently a sophomore at Pensacola Christian College. She is pursuing a Bachelor's of Secondary Education with an emphasis in History and a minor in English. Halle appreciates that with math there is always a right answer to be found regardless of what the equation may be. She hopes that after working at Mathnasium, her love for math will allow her to teach it in a school setting. Her career goal is to start a school somewhere outside of America giving those the skills and tools she was provided with growing up. Her hobbies include playing spike ball with her little sisters, going to the beach, and helping locally at her church. She loves kids and looks forward to getting to know them as she instructs them in the world of math.

Maverick

Instructor
Maverick is a current IB student at Pensacola High School. When in college, he plans on studying Applied Mathematics. Maverick's been passionate about math since the 3rd grade, and was always enamored by the different ways to understand it. In his free time, he likes to play guitar, listen to music, and is involved in multiple clubs at his school.
