Pi Day at Mathnasium Makes Math Fun
Mar 15, 2017
As parents, we want our students to be excited about learning. The more they enjoy a topic, the harder they will work to master it. That is why at Mathnasium, we not only make math make sense, we also want to make math fun. Multiplication, fractions, algebra and geometry are all critical areas in a successful math career. We believe in the idea that, “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” We put this idea in practice yesterday and the kids had a blast. Students worked hard for weeks to earn cards they could redeem to “pie an instructor.” They completed the question of the day (of course the answer was 3.14 but they had to show their work to come up with the solution.) After a day of fun, we are refreshed and motivated and ready to tackle the next math challenge!
